HELLA 9005SB Single Blister Standard Halogen Bulb, 12V, 65W

They aren’t bright as far as the white lights, but you can been seen coming down the road with these on..They replaced the DRL on the Odyssey, which is the same as the High beam lights.

2012 RAV4 wanting to convert to LED lights. Well, the DRLs wouldn't work. These Optilux high beam halogen bulbs integrate color temp fairly well with new LED fog and low beams, have a long lifespan and are affordable. Worked for us!

For years I had cars that used ONE bulb for low beams and high beams--this one. It is becoming more common to have separate bulbs--one for low beam/daytime running lights, and another for high beam. This bulb is actually my high beam bulb (2015 Mazda 3), but I bought it thinking it was the main bulb, the one for low beam/DRL, and of course it doesn't fit where my dead low-beam goes. So before you order it, check your owner guide and make SURE you know what bulb you need. I wasted a lot of time and effort and frustration taking apart my wheel well trying to replace this bulb and now I have to wait for the right bulb to be delivered and do it all over again.Three stars as a basic "it's probably fine but I don't know yet because I couldn't install it" rating. I would suspect at least a few of the reviews here that say it doesn't fit might be my situation--it IS a bulb for their car, but not the one they thought they were replacing.

I like the fact that they are very bright for my high beam sockets. These are in reflector housings and do quite a good job of lighting up the highway in addition to my quad-row,24 inch, LED light bar, which is also tied into the high beam wiring via a relay.

I’ve had an issue with condensation in the lights if you’re having that issue. I had the sylvania make before and had constant moisture in the lights until I replaced them with this make.

While these bulbs do great in projector style headlights they are horrible in regular style reflective headlights.

The 9005 Xtreme Yellows work well as high beams for my car. They are incredibly bright, and are probably equal to what the OEM Sylvania bulbs are, except they’re a sick yellow colour. They also look like you’re staring into the sun. Definitely worth it, if your entire goal is to remind people what our favourite star looks like when you’re alone in the dark. The camera might not show the full extent, but these things work well when you’re driving through dark woods in the pitch dark. Would recommend!

Ordered in 2018, endured -30 degree conditions, cold snaps, can penetrate to thick foggy conditions, using it as DRL and High Beam for 2007 RAV4 and gives a retro selective yellow look.As of this review bulbs are still working perfectly. Only challenge was installations, needed to swap old bulb’s O-ring to make it fit into the assembly, other else all thumbs up!
