This smart scale is fantastic! Quick set up, connects easily to the app, and gives clear readings for weight, BMI, and body composition. The rechargeable battery is super convenient, and the design looks sleek in the bathroom.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS The packaging is very minimalistic, arriving in a plain cardboard box without colour graphics or images. This is nice, because this type of packaging will save the consumer from paying extra. The scale is well-packed inside of the box, with a plastic wrap to protect the glass from scuffs as well as styrofoam placeholders so that the scale doesn’t shift around or arrive damaged in shipment. Included is a micro USB cable, an informative manual with instructions in English, Deutsh, Francais, Italiano, Espanol, as well as an invitation to register the product for certain benefits. BUILD QUALITY The scale has a premium build quality, with a weighty feel to it. The glass on the top side is smooth and glossy, supported by a matte plastic base on the bottom. The plastic on the bottom feels a little hollow, but this isn’t important in regular use. The design is very pleasing, with an understated look that separates the scale from a typical bathroom scale. However, I imagine this would help the longevity of the battery, which does have to work extra hard in order to provide Bluetooth functionality. The scale feels sturdy when being stood upon, and provides a quick and accurate readout of weight. Nearly instantly, it conveys the information to the RENPHO Smart App, which provides valuable feedback based on certain metrics such as height and age. RENPHO SMART SCALE APP I am using the iOS version of the Renpho Smart app. The app involves a sign-up process which asks for certain parameters including weight, age, and height in order to best determine your progress and goals. The app has the capability to work with Apple Health to compile information and create a comprehensive picture. The app estimates BMI, Body Fat%, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, as well as providing a graph which tracks progress in these various metrics. This is what makes this scale stand out. This information is far and beyond what a “dumb scale” could possibly communicate, making use of the limitless capability of smartphones to process and present data. In my opinion, this makes the scale worth well beyond the asking price. Elle mesure bien le poids mais aussi plein d’autres infos utiles : IMC, masse musculaire, eau, graisse corporelle, etc. La connexion Bluetooth est simple à configurer avec l’appli, et les résultats sont clairs et détaillés. La balance est solide, avec un design sobre et un écran facile à lire. J’aime aussi qu’elle soit rechargeable par USB, ça évite d’avoir à changer les piles souvent. Un excellent outil pour suivre sa santé au quotidien. Je recommande sans hésiter !
