Love this dock. I used it to replace an aging/failing older dock. This new one is so much better.1. Tons of USB-A ports, and even USB-C ports! My old one didn't have enough USB-A ports, so I had to constantly swap my webcam with my security key. Now with USB-C ports I can even use my USB-C security keys.2. Has 2x DP & 2x HDMI. These are great because I no longer have to use a separate USB-C to DP adapter to drive my 4k monitor at 60 Hz. My old dock only had HDMI 1.2 and could only support 4k@30Hz, yuck. I have tested, and this one supports 4k@60 over both the DP and HDMI! Super happy about htat.3. It comes with its own 100W power brick to power the dock, and it passes this through to the USB-C connection to charge my laptop successfully!4. It has an on/off switch which is super great for being more power conscious and turning it off when I'm not using it.5. This is all working with my Google Pixelbook laptop.Incredible product and value. Thank you!

I had this docking station for about 1 month. It works fine on a ChromeOS device, and on a Mac os too, although it's not thunderbolt, so you have to install a special driver for it.The downside of the driver is that it does not work seamlessly in clamshell mode (lid closed) when you reboot the laptop. so you need to open the lid if you reboot, let it boot that way, then connect and close the lid to work on the external monitor.The powersupply is a made-in-china piece of plastic that might be worth a couple of dollars if anything. It failed after less than a month, and I was ready to return the whole thing. I remembered that I had a 16 yo lenovo powersupply, it's 16V instead of 20V, but it's working like a charm now. For a price in excess of 100 dollars I was expecting a better quality. I can't tell if it's only the power supply, or if the rest of this thing will fail in a few weeks.

It works great on a Macbook pro, charges it perfectly, can use dual monitors, has plenty extra USB c and USB a ports and it is very affordable.The only downside is that you need the displaylink driver, that thing gets broken from time to time, so if you got yours working and do not need to update, do not do it.

Revised: 4/24/2020Short lived success with this thing. The fix (hack) that DisplayLink had me perform only worked for a few days. After that, this think reset all the connections an average of 5 times an hour. Working with their tech support, they continue to do registry hacks and all sorts of things to try to make this work. Final suggestion is "wait for new drives that should be coming out soon". I'm returning it. This thing literally reset 8 times on a 40 minute web conference yesterday. I am using it on a 2019 Lenovo X1 Carbon; Windows 10 latest release and fully patched.----Original:Having the ability to thunderbolt dock including charging, along with dual monitor makes this an awesome docking station. Sure has simplified the "work from home" situation and provided me a great value to my home rig. I had one glitch with mine. I contacted DisplayLink and a support rep made contact within an hour. After some email troubleshooting, had a resolution within a day.What I love: Gigabit Ethernet, dual HDMI or display port support, thunderbolt dock with charge, 4 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB-C ports. I love that it has a power button.I am only using on Windows 10. I have not tried it on MacBook.Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a home docking station!

Bought this for a client to connect her HP Pavilion 15-cc123cl laptop to dual 1080p monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse, and LAN. It is well packaged and appears to be solidly constructed. It works well, once I figured out a key omission to their documentation. I can't confirm this is true of all laptops, but in this case, connecting it to this particular laptop via its 3.1 Gen 2 Type C port initially worked like a charm and she was excited to try out her new dual monitor setup. However, when she disconnected her laptop to take it home that night, and reconnected the next day, the monitors would not respond. This required another trip back to her office where, on further examination, I was able to determine that the dock needed to be turned off using the power switch in back, before connecting to the laptop, then turned on once it was connected. Once that undocumented procedure was followed, it connected right up and all connected devices, including monitors, worked fine. She has followed this procedure daily and the dock has been performing flawlessly ever since.In conclusion, this dock is a great value and works well in the configuration described above. My only complaint was the extra step in reconnecting that was not documented in the manual, and, in all fairness, may not be applicable to all laptops to which it is connected. I did like this dock enough to purchase a second one for a different client with a different laptop, so will update on that experience when I get her new dual monitor setup installed in the near future.

It works just how I expected for the price. I kind of wish I would’ve spent more money and got a nicer one but this box does work just fine depending on what you’re trying to do. There will be latency issues with monitors. It’s also important to know that while you may see TB3 compatible, this is not a TB3 device and the USB C ports are not TB3. Many other reviews say this, the manufacturer says this, and I knew that before buying but it could be easy to misunderstand that aspect. Overall it works fine as a usb hub but I would not recommend as a dedicated workstation dock where you’re connecting multiple monitors and routinely disconnecting and reconnecting your laptop. There is no sleep mode so you’ll have to cycle power especially if you have hard drives connected or they’ll be constantly spinning
