Vendor Support
This DVA was very easy to set up and get operational. Being non tech savvy wasn't a problem because of the tremendous support and aid of the vendor. Been using this unit for more than 3 years with few issues. Recently knocked offline by tropical storm. Adeline, part of the support team, helped me through the process. Complete success, short time, system back up and working like new!

ZOSI did stand behind warranty (SEE UPDATE)
UPDATED JULY 9, 2022 (UPDATED RATING FROM 3 STAR TO 5 STAR)Zosi made good on their warranty and replaced my DVR that had failed with a new one. Thank you Zosi for making me whole, here is the rating upgrade as I promised.UPDATED JUNE 27, 2022 (updated rating from 1 star to 3 star)I was contacted by Zosi Customer service and they are working to correct my problem. Yesterday I received confirmation from Zosi that a replacement DVR has been shipped to replace the one I sent back to them. Once I receive the replacement DVR I will be happy to change this review to 5 star because their products work, are cost friendly and that they will stand behind their product warranty and reputation.INITIAL RATING 1 STAR:I ordered ZOSI DVR from Amazon on June 4, 2021. This was a Friday.I received ZOSI DVR on June 9, 2021. I installed it on June 12.I notified ZOSI on May 31, 2022 that the DVR I received on June 9, 2021 had failed. (Actually failed about a week prior, but I tried researching to correct problem)ZOSI was notified within their published warranty period (12 months).ZOSI requested proof of purchase on June 1, 2022 (ZOSI should have had this info since I purchased from ZOSI/Amazon)I supplied ZOSI copy of purchase receipt from Amazon on June 9 (EST), but because they are located in CHINA they say I supplied copy on June 10!!!Now ZOSI says they will not honor warranty because I failed to provide ZOSI receipt before warranty expired on June 4 (the day I ordered their DVR).ZOSI is stating their warranty period begins when product is ORDERED, NOT when received!!Poor customer service. What ZOSI is stating is beyond belief. I would not recommend ZOSI products to anyone, not because their products are worthless, but because the company morals and customer service is worthless.ZOSI's exact words in their email to me:================== Good day. Thanks for your message and sorry to keep you waiting. Thank you for your order information, we can check that you purchased on June 4, 2021, and your product is just past the one-year warranty period according to our one-year warranty policy. Although you contacted us on May 31, you did't provide relevant evidence and order information when you contacted us, so we failed to handle it for you in time, resulting in just the one-year warranty period. But we'd love to find alternatives for you. Here is the link of the product for your reference: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZRXPZX If you like it, we can apply for a 15% discount for you. If you have any further problem, please feel free to contact us. Thanks for your support.==================================So I am out the $240 I spent on their DVR and cameras. Got almost 12 months service, maybe their cameras will work with another company's DVR?Needless to say I will never buy another ZOSI product, nor would I recommend any of their products based on this experience. There are many other companies that sell this type of product. Find a reputable company! Based on my experience this is not ZOSI.

Horrible compared to another brand
TL;DR Go with Amcrest if you want anything more than a direct HDMI setup.I was genuinely excited to try a new DVR for my CCTV setup, my old one was outdated, difficult to connect to without the app and recently crashed for no apparent reason. I was looking for a new DVR with at least 8 channels (using BNC), support for 4TB, and H.265 encoding.I currently had an Amcrest and though they have a webclient, it only works with Internet Explorer and you have to install a plugin which Windows doesn't like. I felt its time was limited before it's no longer supported. You can, however, access the information in the app though it's cumbersome because there is a lot to take in and doing it on a phone just isn't as easy as using a PC.So, I thought since Zosi seems to have tons of DVRs available with good reviews, I figured I'd try them to see if it's any better. Wow, Amcrest is so far ahead of the game here, there was basically no configuration with the DVR, I couldn't (or couldn't figure out how to) set it to alert me if movement occurred, there didn't seem to be a way to set up a "mask" to identify where on the camera I wanted the motion detection (good if you have bushes that sway in the wind so you can exclude that area). Worst of all, when I tried to connect to my phone, if it even connected, it would take 10 seconds (Amcrest is up nearly instantly with all feeds) to finally show the feed and it was horrible quality, there was no indication of a way to improve the stream quality, all of these things are doable on Amcrest. Most times though, the camera wouldn't stream to my phone and would eat about 1% of battery every minute of trying. So, in the end I said forget it, I'd rather deal with needing to use my phone and have all of the features of Amcrest than this. It turns out, Amcrest's new software is better than before. The newer DVRs have a PC app (for Windows and Mac) that allows you to manage everything you'd want. They still have the web client but it still only works on Internet Explorer for the video feed, but you can do everything else on any browser so you can still modify settings which is great. So now, I can use the application or my phone to view the feed or recordings, and I can use the browser, application, or my phone to change settings.I will say that because Amcrest has so many options and configurations it can be difficult for someone who isn't tech savvy, in which case I would probably suggest the Zosi DVR since it's just the basics. i.e. Works on a monitor over HDMI and may work over you phone but nothing fancy to mess around with. For those who want actual HD streaming (it's SD by default but you can edit the settings to stream in HD), total control over scheduling, alerts, movement notification, even facial recognition features, go with Amcrest. On a side note, H.265+ is amazing, I previously had H.264 which saved three cameras 24/7 for about 2.5 days on a 1TB drive, I'm using a 4TB drive now with the new H.265+ and it's saving three cameras 24/7, I have almost 8 days with less than 400MB used... I didn't even need to upgrade the HDD. The new compression format is much much better.

Easy to set up
Update! The company has sent me a new system and I'm not having any issues at all! Its been about 2 weeks since installing the system up. They have been great once I reached out to them! The only issue I have with this system is that it will shut off randomly and I will lose 2-3 cameras everytime. Takes a couple days for the cameras to come back on.

Excellent replacement
My old QC9416 started failing and this became it's successor. I have hooked up 12 BNC cameras and setup was very easy, as was the app for remote viewing. Apparently it will handle a couple of wifi cameras but I have not tried that yet. So far so good!!
