My new favorite nut!
I recently started hearing a ton about sacha inchi nuts (seeds?) on a bunch of health blogs. Decided to give these a go. They remind me of peanuts... but creamier. And not only are they creamier than peanuts, they're WAAAY healthier, too. Fist off, they are a complete protein. Meaning you get all of your essential amino acids from them (unlike peanut butter). They are also very high in Omega-3 fatty acids (unlike peanut butter, which tends to lean very heavily into Omega-6). Definitely adding these to my snacking regimen from now on!

Super delicious
I am always looking for a low G.I. index and high protein snack. I really love these a lot. It makes me not miss the praline pecans at Costco! These don’t cause a problem for me with the hypoglycemia I battle on a daily basis!

If you like dank, musty tastes
If you like dank, musty tastes, this is the snack for you! I've been hearing great things about this brand and type of seed for awhile now and finally decided to try them myself. As someone who enjoys the keto way of eating, I figured this would be a perfect snack for me. Upon opening the bag, the aroma was overpowering and not in a good way. Think tidal, seaweed-y. As if I wasn't already put off enough by that, I took ONE seed and popped it in my mouth. As I began to chew, I started to gag as the flavor I can only describe as dank, musty, earthy began to overtake my entire oral cavity. I quickly washed it down with some iced espresso that I thankfully had right next to me and I have to be honest and say that even that didn't take the disgusting flavor away. These are a hard no for me and I can't imagine anyone actually liking these. As far as I'm concerned, the Amazon jungle can keep them!

Good vegan keto snack
By themselves, these did not taste fabulous. They sort of suck the moisture from your mouth. But I put half servings into silicone cupcake molds, added a serving of ChocZero chocolate chips, and melted it in the microwave. They're pretty good that way, and the carbs were still very low.

5* for healthiness, but 2* for taste & 1* for packaging
This is a great idea. The protein/fiber content is excellent. 👍 But this flavor is really not very good at all. 😐 They are just edible. I might try another flavor. But the plastic padded shipping envelope *reeked of some kind of fragrance, like a dryer sheet!* What's up with that?? 😝 I could smell it on the surface of the product package itself - but thank goodness it didn't seem to penetrate to the inside. Also, there are some errors in the unit prices and package weights in the two different quantities. It's very confusing as written.

Omega3 and high fiber & complete protein & high protein/carbohydrate ratio & convenient size
These go great with many foods and can correct the high Omega6/Omega3 ratio that creeps into (mostly) vegan diets. Great if you are watching your blood sugar. All the carbohydrate in them is fiber! The protein is complete! Some people say there is a fishy aftertaste to Sacha Inchi seeds. I do not notice that at all, while I do experience it with other Omega3 rich vegan foods such as flax and (sometimes) canola oil and walnuts. If you spend a good deal of time eating saturated fat and sugar, you will not like "Peru peanuts".

Sacha Inchi Sea Salted Seeds
I figured I would try these because they might help with the keto diet. While the nutrition is wonderful the taste is like eating bland, dry, stale bread that had a hint of spoilage. Not that they were spoiled, they just didn't taste very good! Might I suggest, coating or dipping them in something like good quality chocolate without all the high fructose CORN syrup and added sugar. Maybe in cinnamon, stevia with coconut oil. In trying to make them taste good don't under mind the reason people purchase them in the first place. I reminded me of the old pea protein shakes... yes, that is they way to describe it!
