These are a gift for my friend whose husband just died. They are lovely but not as dark purple as I'd hoped. They're a medium shade, though, and she will love them.

Came right on time, packaged very well, and they're absolutely gorgeous, and the stones themselves are very rich and deep in color unlike some others I've seen. I was wondering this when I purchased them, because I had read a previous review that said the backs were rubber. The backs were silver just like the rest of the earring, then they also came with the little rubber backs as well! I was looking for oval shaped amethyst and silver earrings to match a bracelet I got my girlfriend for our first anniversary, and these were just perfect. Purchased them as a birthday present for her, I can't wait to see her face when she sees them!

My sister-in-law has a February birthday and loves amethyst, so I gave these as a gift to her. She not only said she loved them, but has already worn them multiple times. They are such a rich purple, with great profile on the ears. Sparkly and attractive. So happy.

Came timely; stones are beautiful, matching & very clear with color exactly as portrayed, nice rich purple. Setting very nice & prettier in person than the pic. Backings are tiny as noted in another review but ok; I replaced them with a larger backing that had a backring and that worked fine with these.

Are not even 1/2 as dark Amethyst as shown. Very pale and disappointing. They make it look like dark African amethyst-and they arnt. Husband thru out wrapping so I cant return. Will never wear them.

Very pretty, sit nicely on my ears. Color is not quite as saturated as in the picture, but still nice and a good deal.
