Matlab is great fun
Matlab is simple and easy to use, it helps if you know someone who can write some bits of 'test' code for you to play around with whilst you learn how Matlab likes code to be written. It is a wounderful piece of software and allows you to have fun at the same time as doing calculations and plotting graphs (amongst other things). Overall Matlab is great fun because you learn as you go along.

genuine license and also the approval for the student was a quick . received on time and safely and also was in perfect condtion , easy to install , I highly recommend it for students .

bought it aug2013, got 2012 edition, works well
great software, the only problem is that the student version is only 32bit! so one is limited in the size of a matrix for instance: the 32bit version does not allow to go beyond 2GB, whereas the 64bit lets you go up to 16GB. no big deal for most users, a limitation for those dealing with large arrays!

Great product, and exactly what I needed to analyze research.

Useless as not "new", but already registered with another user
I could not download this software, although I had purchased it "new", and contacted the manufacturers, Mathworks.com. They said that the disc was invalid because the unique serial number was already in use, connected to the email address of someone else. I am waiting for TextbooksUK to contact me so I can return this and get my money back (over £47). I am disgusted that I have been sent something that I bought in good faith, which has already been used, and have wasted time and money over this. I sincerely hope that TextbooksUK have a good explanation for this, otherwise I will ensure I never use them again. I'm very unimpressed.

I needed it for class
Although it is a required program for my masters, this is a powerful program. Even if you purchase this software and have a CD key; you have to email proof that you are a student else the program will stop working after 30 days.

Excellent Product
The software works excellent as it was promised by mathworks. It can be a great tool for students to understand and help them in many math related subjects.

Matlab
The product is a terrific product. Mathsoft is giving me a ration of crap about being a student. I think I will look further into Octave which is free.

Works well. Was required by my university, but installation was fine. But on mac it is necessary to download x11, which is free.

Good Value
This was a good value compared to purchasing it from other sources. It was helpful to be able to buy it separately from the book.
