Goth Girl and the Pirate Queen: World Book Day Edition 2015

I so enjoyed this book. Full of delightful illustrations. I look forward to reading more goth girl stories. I would recommend this series.

A simple and very short reading, best for a lazy summer day. Builds on what we already know about the character and add more to it.

Ada uses her mind and her charms to help herself and her new friends when she runs into trouble while away with her father's friend. Fashion and candy may never be the same!

Such a cute, simple story...easy for school aged children to pic up and read. The stories are wonderful, the characters are great! Any child who loves to read would enjoy this series!

Would love to be able to get the printed copy of this book. I am such a fan of the Goth Girl books. Chris Riddell is a wonderful writer and illustrator.I try to get copies of almost everything he has done. Can't get enough. All I can say is "more, more, more"!

As with all the books in this series its a great read for the older child - basically anyone over 7. Lovely illustrations, fascinating literary allusions and a splendid heroine. Do not buy on Kindle because the format of the pages and the fonts are not compatible with the limitations of the Kindle screen. Go on, buy the hardback and give your senses a treat.

Loved this book, so bought all the others in the series. The story and characters are as quirky as Riddell's illustrations and there is plenty in here for parents to enjoy whilst reading it with children; indeed there is much in here that needs to be explained to children so they get the jokes. A clever and thoroughly enjoyable piece of writing.

Okay maybe I should have paid more attention, but this is not a full sized book like the rest of the series but rather one of those little "sampler" type books they put out for £1 on world book day.

My daughter had read the first book and enjoyed it so much that she was keen to read any other books in this series by the author. This was not a very thick book and she was able to read it in a day. She was not disappointed and thorougly enjoyed it.

My 9 year old daughter enjoyed this whole series but this is the thinnest book in the series by far. It’s tiny in fact.
