Easy to use, easy cleanup
These were a great purchase to use with my masking fluid. They draw precision lines and are very easy to adjust and to clean.

2 out of 3 are good
I purchased these to apply masking fluid on my watercolor projects. When they arrived, 2 of them worked beautifully. Game changer for my purposes. Unfortunately the third one was completely nonfunctional.

The two smaller sizes were too much the same.

Works great
I watched a few Utube videos and saw how to properly use these for applying masking fluid on A/C canopies around the outer edges before taping and between the Pebeo masking fluid and these ruling pens it works out very well. I just practiced a little on plain paper first to get the hang of the fluid and pens. The nice thing about the thin masking fluid is the capillary action that spreads the fluid in around the outer grooves, then you don’t have to try and cut your masking tape so accurately, or you can just use the masking fluid for the whole canopy, no tape required.

Only way to go for masking fluid
I have tried so many ways to apply masking fluid. brushes, toothpicks, q tips, or my dip pen. these are the MOST useful way to use it. It holds a lot of fluid in the tip so you dont have to dip as often. way easy to clean, adjustable flow so you can cover big areas and tiny areas. you can get long thin lines! I paint grass occasionally in my paintings and this seriously changed my hate of grass to almost love! The other useful tool I love are fingernail polish tools. its like a plastic pencil looking thing with varying sizes of tiny balls on the end.

Great for applying frisket.
I purchased these to use when applying frisket on watercolor paintings. The process of using frisket can be messy . These tools are helpful to make the process go a bit more smoothly.

This is going to be a handy set of ruling pens
This is a decent value for the money. The only complaint I had is that one of the ruling pens is missing its adjustment screw. Fortunately I had a screw from a junk compass that fit so I won't have to return the set, but it does get knocked down 1 star as a result.

Cheap tools, cheaply produced
Two of these arrived in working order, but the third and smallest of the pens arrived looking like it was dropped onto a hard surface. It's unusable due to how the tines are bent and completely unaligned. The other two pens will be useful for masking fluid or ink, but the third is terrible. The handles are also very short. Not even pencil length. 3 stars for 2 pens that work.

Do their job well
These are very lightweight. Nice variety of line widths. I appreciate being able to mask very fine lines without dragging a literal needle across my watercolor paper and scratching the surface.

very nice for the price. Had trouble using them but probably because I have never used them before.

Good Results
I really wanted to like these - and did...until I realized one of the pens had a bent tip. That rendered the pen useless, so I had to return these. However, the two that arrived in good shape were easy to use and gave excellent results.

Masking Fluid Ruling Pen
I love the three different sizes and the fact that each of the three is so easily adjustable. It is also very easy to clean off the masking fluid that so quickly ruins brushes. I highly recommend the set.

You get what you pay for...
I only received 2 of the 3 pens but could not use either. The prongs at the tip would not move apart when unscrewed. There should be a gap between the prongs which is vital for holding ink. This gap also sets the diameter for the line that is to be drawn. For the pricepoint, this would have been a great buy if they had worked as described.
