MerrellWomen's Encore Breeze 3

I like the comfort and walkability I get in this simple merrell low backed slip on. Was a little skeptical as it is nearly a slide (the back is very low) but the fit is right to NOT slip out of the shoe. I've taken it miles as I often use it for my daily walks and the shoe is sturdily made. The style is very casual and typically Merrell style, which some may find a bit TOO casual. It's essentially a clog with a low heel and low back, with mesh top and Merrell sole and footbed. I don't mind the clog look as comfort is there, and it is with this shoe. My workplace has a business casual dress code and I've worn the shoes to the office without getting any coworker or boss side-eye or criticism so I think it's a good option for most business casual offices as well. The toe box is wide enough that it doesn't crush my toes together, which is a big plus for walking longer distances. The mesh is somewhat ventilated and the only drawback to that is that dust tends to settle in the holes if I'm walking in a dusty environment. Turns out the dust can be vaccuumed out of the mesh so it's not an issue. Overall a great shoe, so far I've chalked up many miles without discernable wear to the soles and it's holding together well as expected.

Took 3 different orders to find the right size-I wear size 8-1st pair shipped 8 wide-width was not specified on order when reviewed-ordered 7 1/2 to replace, too tight. Finally got size 8 that worked. Problem with retailers web site not being specific!!

These shoes are well made, look good, fit perfectly. and are easy to get on and off.

Last year I bought the encore vellum a size large (at the recommendation of a podiarst). They felt large but very comfortable. I found my regular size on sale at an amazing price and ordered a seond. It turned out to be a great idea because my puppy attacked hte first pair and ate one of the insoles :p I wore the other pair while waiting for new insoles from Merrell. Unfortunately insoles do not come in half sizes so it never felt quitr the same, still they were more comfortable, offered better arch support than anything else in my closet (I wear mostly Alegra and Jambu). I sitll have a difficult time believing that these are more comfortabler than Alegria! I love my Merrells.After a year of wearing them basically daily it is time to replace them. That is my one and only withhold. Merrells used to last forever. I have a pair of suede sneakers which I have had for close to 20 years! I live in Hawaii, and do not wear closed shoes often. I wore a pair of timberland pro clogs to my son's graduation 2 weeks ago, and still have blisters from them. The only shoes I can wear comfortably now are my Merrells. The style I bought last year is almost unobtainable, and very expensive, so I returned to the encore line looking for other ventilated clogs. I was thrilled to find the encore breeze in a great color at a great price. I got them a few minutes ago and they feel just like my old ones, except the sole (which is in shreds o my old shoes) is intact. I finds the sizing on these perfect. I have average to narrow feet. I have had to return so so many pair of shoes because I took sizing advice from one or another reviewer reviewers who I am guessing weighed a good deal more than I do but didn't mention that when complaining about size or width. I have no issue with sizing on these, and have had sigfnificant foot problems (including breaking one foot and the other ankle and consequently having swelling related to the breaks).I am now contemplating a second pair because i now know that I will be wearing these every day, and that puppy is just 1 year old last week and continues to attack my shoes.

Dependable and comfortable walking shoe. I take them for my vacations when I know I will be doing allot of sightseeing.

Very comfortable, unless you have high arches. Getting my foot in the shoe was difficult, but was a little better once I had the shoes on. They were comfortable walking around, other than being too tight across the top of my foot. Had to return.

I bought the Merrels for my Wife's Birthday and when she received them she was absolutely over the moon with them as she has had pair before that we bought when visiting family in the USA.

Merrell Encores are always my favorite in-house shoe because they are very comfortable and sooooooooo supportive.These are the first pairs I slip into after a long day of errands or work.
