Installs easy enough, makes really loud noise, but not very configurable
Got this, turned on the smartthings classic app on my iPhone, set it to add a new thing, put in the batteries, and it registered the Neo Coolcam Siren without problem. then the configuration pains begin. First, it will not strobe, even though it registered as both a siren and a light. I was going to test out the alarm modes using just the light strobing, since it's 10pm... but nope, every time instead of turning on the strobe light, it makes a really loud noise. I made sure to turn off the alarm/siren mode and just have strobe. after 4 attempts, I had to abandon trying to set it up; can't risk annoying the neighbors.there are some websites that says to set it up with a custom dome handler. there's also a Q&A on here with the same.. will give that a try and update from 4* if it works. Also, please note that even though pictures show USB charging (and one picture even advertise the two ways to power this little guy), this DOES NOT come with a USB cable-charger. It does come with two CR123 batteries, however. And one final comment, I thought it'd be the size of a smoke alarm but this thing is about the size of a hockey puck... a lot smallerEdit: 2/16/2019 - after spending a good two days trying to configure a custom handler for this (based on the Dome one on GitHub by Kevin LaFramboise) , it's been somewhat disappointing. the strobe/LED light cannot be turned on separately from the siren. the siren/chime list weren't compatible with the Dome handler (mind you this is the one referenced by the manufacturer in the FAQ, I believe)... and the unit now refuses to use the 'Red Alert' siren any more, even though I have the siren set to 3 while the chime/beep is set to 8. Luckily I -was- above to set volume to low, so at least I stopped annoying the family and neighbors. it really shouldn't be this difficult. :( (gonna leave it at 3 stars, because if you only want the basic siren being loud, it might still be good enough for you... it's earpiercingly loud at the default "z-wave siren" setting.

Works with Vivint Sky Panel!
Works with Vivint!I've only had the siren for a few days, so I'll try to chime back in after a year. But, it interfaces and works well with a Vivint Sky Panel. You simply add it as a node. You'll need to chat with Vivint to access the developers tool box on the panel. It adds the siren as a switchable device. Ie: like a wall plug adapter you can turn off and on. The chat specialist didn't know how to make it work, but it was easy. Just set up 2 custom actions.1. Turn device "on" when an alarm is triggered.2. Turn device off when system disarmed. The siren sounds when a fire or burglar alarm is tripped. It silenced when you turn off the alarm.Easy as that! Works off included batteries that will last up to a year. They are batteries that other vivint devices use, so I already have them on hand when I need to chance them.Hope this helps someone who is in the fence about this siren. So far I'm very happy with it!

Meh...
Great idea, great price point, poor execution. The device is loud but has a buzz in the speaker when it operates (almost as if the speaker is blown). As far as compatibility with SmartThings, it is difficult... let's just put it like that. It paired with it, but was NOT intuitive and had virtually no options. I had to find a device handler for a competing product to make this work and even then the results were not impressive. I was hoping to use it as a doorbell as well as an alarm. Some of the alarm tones are adequate but the door chimes are lame and difficult to configure. The results were slow response times and lackluster performance and UI. Not impressive, sadly. The good news is, it does work with some effort, but I was so disappointed with the poor execution of the setup and options that I am, quite honestly, afraid to use it because I fear it's not going to be a reliable resource. I would hate for this thing to go off in the middle of the night and scare the heck out of my aging mother and my two little dogs. So, for now, it sits in the box unused. I might figure out some use for it in the garage or something, but I won't be using it in the house. Next time, I'll get something that is natively compatible, even if it costs a bit more.

Works with Vivint but siren does nothing
Can be added to Vivint as listed but the siren or light does nothing when the alarm goes off. I spent about an hr after this with Vivint only to give up 1hr later. From what I can tell the siren requires being plugged in to be added as a Z-Wave device and plugged in to be removed from Vivint. Not sure of mine was defective but I gave up. Also instructions are poorly written and too length to read. Box contains 2 batteries? How about listing batteries are already installed. I nearly returned it before even doing setup with Vivint as I saw no batteries. The siren should automatically know to make some sound once the alarm goes off.. If not then why would any of us buy this.

Wrong unit for use with Ring Alarm
I purchased this unit believing it to be the siren used with Ring alarm system. After several attempts to install and a call to Ring tech support, I found that the unit was not designed nor would work with the system. I returned the unit to Amazon. However, prior to returning, I did sound the alarm and it was louder than expected from such a small device. I ordered the correct siren from Ring and installed it two days later. I do not understand why the Ring compatible product is not sold on the Amazon site since Amazon owns Ring.

Not bad if you know how to code
I bought this because it was supposed to compatible with SmartThings. Yes it will beep and strobe, but all the advanced features are not available unless you build a virtual device. This is not "compatible" to me. If you advertise the advanced features we should not have to use scripting from another brands strobe to operate this one.
