Can you pair this with a qsc kw122? if so, will it even sound good together? thx

I did exactly that at an event. You can tell the difference in sound quality, and visually the physical appearance of the 12.2 does not match the CP12. I was able to adjust the sound so they are close, but you can still hear the difference in quality. By itself the CP12, or a pair of CP12s, is great.

How does the cp12 compare to the original k10. looking to upgrade my k10’s and wondering if it’s worth it. thanks for any help!

Not having owned k10s. I can only say that a 12 will carry bass farther than a 10 due to basic physics. These have plenty of sound for a restaurant which is where I use them. I ‘downgraded’ from the 15s I was using as the sound easily became too strong from the power available. Treble travels very well in this venue.
