DritzHome 44080 Drapery Hem Gauge, 18 x 9-Inch

I have used the regular hem gauge for clothing for years and love it. When I saw this one, I knew I had to have it for doing curtains and such. It is plenty long enough and wide enough to press hems into large sections at a time. Be careful when storing as it will bend easily, being thin metal. Also, be careful when pressing as it gets hot .

Excellent addition to my sewing tool kit. Makes pressing hems on any type of long fabric MUCH easier and more precise. Wish I'd had this ten years ago!

I'm extremely happy that I purchased this item for my drapery projects. I didn't have a problem at all with amazon's packaging (the box was very big) so my Hem Gauge was not bent in any way. The markings are big, the material is durable (aluminium) so I know when I iron over this....I have to be careful. Instructions are on the back of the packaging. A another great purchase from Amazon.... :)

I didn't know this product existed until I saw it being used on a tutorial for making draperies. It's thin to allow for ironing an exact hem, so it will need a little tlc to keep from bending it, but it wouldn't work as well if it were thicker. I'm sure I'll use it often for years to come.

I use this for window treatment. Makes perfect seam allowances. Project came out looking perfect.

This thing is flimsy. It arrived with one dent in it, but I'm not surprised. I didn't see any use sending it back, because I'm pretty positive it might happen again and possibly worse next time, so I hammered the dent back out the best I could. I wish this was made with thicker material, or at least shipped in a box. It came in a big envelope, no protection other than the thin posterboard it's packaged in. It really needs to be sturdier, not just a step or two above tinfoil.

When the product arrived, it was bent and dented up... all I would suggest is using different shipping material like a box instead of a lightly padded envelope

This is another tool for the sewing room. When you have large/long hems you do. This is such an easy tool to use and handy

When I saw this item I couldn’t believe my luck, 3 pairs of curtains to take up, this will cut down on the time, and it works very well great with my sewing crafts

Bought 2 of them, one for me one for someone else and they arrived nice and not bumps.Very useful when you iron and sew
