5* for the trike, 4* for greenpower customer service, 3* at best for the way they send stuff out.
Edit, moved from 5 to 1 stars, then to 3 stars then back to 5 as they provided the serial number and missing trim parts after being advised of a pending credit card chargeback. It could and should have been a better customer experience with a fantastic product, but the review is after all about the product, so 5*My trike was delivered a few days ago and when first delivered I love, love, loved it and after brief buyers remorse am getting back to that stage. It is going to transform my life for the better.Let me make a few observations, in no particular order. The throttle is motorbike/moped/scooter twist grip style (right handed as standard) and not "normal" motability control. As someone else mentioned in a review, it's very sensitive and takes a bit of getting used to how hard it accelerates (I already cracked a wing mirror reversing through my narrow gate). I do recommend moving from 2nd down to 1st in traffic. It does slow down and stop like standard scooters (quite jerkily in 2nd), so no real need for the bike/motorbike brakes on the handles unless you don't like holding by throttle at an up hill junction, but probably good to have them for those with muscle memory of motorbikes etc.The trike shape makes it longer than standard mobility scooters and it has a bit of a wider turning circle. For the same reason, be careful when ordering a good cover for it. The supplied one is welcome but is quite thin. One other potential point for people to consider is that the seat style and lack of back support should perhaps suggest people with certain disabilities look more towards a scooter with a lower and "captain"/"pilot" style seat with arm support and 90 degree swivel. For me this motorbike/moped seat is currently better, but next time will probably be different. The serial number that you will need for the tax office (nothing to pay, but registering is a requirement) is etched into the steering column in front of you at ankle level. Apparently it should be behind a removable plastic panel, but I don't seem to have got that panel and the number is visible. Edit : Greenpower were initially being really awkward with repeatedly telling me that the serial number can be read on the trike in the place mentioned (it can't, it was etched by a drunk 4 year old. I have supplied them with photos of it) or can be found on the certificate of newness (it can't, this arrived blank, again, photos sent to them). Daniella from customer services was great once we eventually made contact and this has been resolvedI ordered a BZ500 for £1349 and received what is a unique500 on greenpower's website and a retro500 on Amazon, both priced at £1690. Missing was the small insert/panel mentioned above and the small "windshield" part that goes in front of the speedometer. Other than those and the lights being slightly different, I can't tell the difference. I wanted the one I ordered but am happy with the one I received (subject to reliability). It gets admired a lot and I do mean a lot. For some this could potentially be a negative. The speedometer is definitely in mph and correctly reads 4mph and 8mph depending on mode 1 (pavement) or mode 2 (road) being selected. The range on mine persistently reads 60+ available on a full charge (4 bars on display) and drops rapidly to 1 bar of charge and 50 once it goes below 3 bars.. I do not know if this is mph or kph but is more than enough for my needs (another edit, I now suspect this is % battery charge as lead acid batteries should not be taken below 50%. I can't get mine above 70% even on an overnight charge). I will probably get more expensive lion batteries when replacing the supplied ones. I cannot confirm range as I tootle about my town without checking and only charge it once every week or two.I live in Northern Ireland so did not receive the white glove delivery but did still receive free delivery which was great and was quicker than the suggested timescale and got a fantastic local driver who did pretty much all the white glove stuff anyway. Unfortunately he was kind enough to take away the packaging and when I was unhappy green power refused a refund as it is not in original packaging. I cannot imagine how a disabled person is supposed to repackage it and return it, hence my threat of a chargeback. Their refund policy is limited to within 14 days of order, but delivery took longer than that, so I was supposed to detect faults before it arrived? I believe they need to review their policy in view of distance selling regs amongst other things.I spend a lot of time in the Republic of Ireland and would have liked to potentially legally avail of 3rd gear ie 15mph which my old scooter could do, but greenpower rejected my request for instructions re this as they said I had ordered a UK scooter. The description clearly states 8mph UK/ 15mph EU so I'm not totally happy about this but it is open to interpretation. I now know that other importers/distributors of the same scooter do facilitate what I want and provide a switch below the seat, as my old scooter did.The tyres were at approximately 14psi when it arrived when they should be at 36 psi, one wheel/bearing is squeaky, (battery already mentioned) and essentially I am going to have to pay for a service/inspection on it already. That said, it is much more fun to drive/ride than a standard scooter and I knew that the warranty would be of limited benefit when getting it shipped "offshore".In short, despite what may read as a lot of negatives, it is a fantastic scooter and is much admired. I guess I wanted to explain all the niggles that I have had and I'm not great when it comes to the good stuff that is somewhat taken for granted.Lights and suspension great, alloy wheels much admired, easily makes the steep hill out of the harbour here etc etc, range fine. It probably accelerates fine with (an illegal in the UK) passenger on the back.I think it is fantastic value and everyone I have spoken to expects it to have cost a lot more.I chose to insure mine (not a legal requirement). Standard insurance was £62 for a year and an extra £20 for get me and scooter type home breakdown cover. It is debatable whether Greenpower are currently the best importer/constructor of these chinese kit scooters at the time of writing and I would suggest shopping around. My experience has not put me off buying from them again, but you REALLY need to buy through Amazon AND pay by credit card.

Don't bother .
Bought this just over 2 years ago , due to COVID restrictions wasn't used much , just after first year warranty ran out , and restrictions lifted , throttle broke , warranty was not extended even though I hadn't done 10 miles on it , because of restrictions . Ordered new throttle , wrong one sent , returned at my cost for right one . Used for a few times , this year worked for 3 days , stopped working , jolts , but won't set off , rang , given instructions on how to reset . Didn't work . Rang back waited for technical team to reply , could be throttle , could be this , could be that could be anything . Unfortunately we can't get the parts anymore for that model , what it's 2 years old ? Obviously sold an old model . Registered new . I have it registered with DVLA it's a 20 plate reg . They can come and inspect it for £95 .What's the point if you can't get the parts. So two year old . Not done much mileage . Obsolete , scrapper . Save your money . !!!
C**!
You can freely get about with ease.
Nothing not to like.

Don't buy things like this from Amazon
Scooter brokedown after a few short trips, turns out that the battery charger supplied(new) was faulty, as a result batteries are now completely dead ("destroyed due to lack charging" manufacturer state)GreenPower want £99.00 + 95.00 = £194.00 to replace them. It would have been cheaper to have used a Taxi.GreenPower will not provide instructions as to how to access the batteries, thus enabling possible purchase of alternative battery and lower fitting charges. Effectively demanding that only their engineer can carry out the fitting of batteries supplied by them. I've not been able to use the scooter for months, trying to resolve this issue with GreenPower, They have a really serious problem with after sales communication and service.I hate to think what will happen if something else goes wrong.I can't afford a replacement for this expensive ornament.Surely there must be better suppliers than this shabby lot.I wish I had purchased a scooter, locally might be a bit more expensive, but at least you have peace of mind if things do go wrong.
