It's okay.
It's easy to use and travels well but it doesn't trim that well. Not as smooth as all my previous remington trimmers.

Great Budget Friendly Trimmer for Occasional Use
The Remington Travel Bikini Trimmer is a budget-friendly choice at just $15.00. This is marketed for travel. I feel travel is spot on for the design and quality of the trimmer itself. I don't feel this would stand up to daily or even much weekly use for keeping areas trimmed and shaved to maintain a certain style. But for an occasional use bikini trimmer that you don't have to worry about if it gets lost on vacation or wherever else away from home, I know I certainly would reach for this model to put in my travel bag or suitcase. This trimmer has a few trimming options. There's a longer side and shorter side for trimming depending on which side you have turned toward to area to be shaved. There's an attachment to put over the blades if you want to just trim hair shorter. You have the option of trimming shorter or completely removing hair. The two blades in one is a nice feature in getting all those hard to reach angles and places that typically would show in a swimsuit that are harder with your average sized razor to get to.This came with an AAA battery (long-lasting Rayovac Alkaline) so it is ready to go right away. To access the battery chamber you simply twist the bottom half one way and pop the battery inside. To turn the trimmer on, you simply twist all the way in one direction. The off position is with the bottom half turned to the middle. Once on or sealed in the off position there is a tight seal which ensures that the battery isn't going to just pop off and release the battery onto the floor or tub.The blades are sharp and precise. I got a clean close shave with no irritation after and a nice trim. I was pleased that I could incorporate this into my delicate shaving routine and reap excellent results. I wasn't sure if I'd be a fan of an electric razor but this one has worked well. What's great is that I didn't have to go over certain areas more than once and that I could easily get to those difficult to reach areas with ease. This has given me a boost of confidence in not worrying about embarrassing hairs and completely being bikini and beach ready! This is waterproof and I've used it in the shower without issue. Now I wouldn't go soaking it in the tub or something because I am not sure what that would do. But with minimal wetness, it's still been working well. Also, I absolutely love that there's a slip-proof hold for my hand at the middle of the trimmer so I don't accidentally lose my hold while grooming. My only con is that though it has a cap to put on it for storage and travel that the attachment piece can't be left on the trimmer with the cap placed on it. So, if I want to bring the attachment part along, I will have to make sure to store it a separate little bag together. Also, it would have been nice if a little drawstring was included for this very purpose.I love this is light-weight without being cheaply made even though it is cost-effective. When stored the cap stays on and doesn't come loose in the least. I love the color and the floral design.Overall, this is great for an occasional trim and for someone that may just want to try this sort of tool out for grooming. The floral pattern and coloring have a nice feminine touch and there are options of what you can do with it. It's backed by a two-year warranty and that's plenty of time before that to perhaps upgrading to a more advanced model.

A nice trimmer that I consider safe, but the blade area flexes and feels cheap
The functionality deserves four stars, but the hardware quality is what holds it back. Most of it is made really well, but the plastic section that holds the blades in place is a bit flimsy. The overall punchline is - it won't cut hair super fast and it takes some patience, but it's safe. At least, it is with the blade attachment on (I didn't try it bare). A razor has some (or a lot of) risk associated with it, and many clippers are larger and unwieldy. This has a great form factor and is easy to use.It takes several passes over hair to cut it, which is where the patience comes in. It's not bad, mind you, but it takes a little time. That said, it's the safest trimmer that I've ever used in that I never felt like it was going to nick or cut me, at least with the attachment on. It was definitely a loss stress activity. It's not rechargeable but rather takes a AAA battery. That can actually be handy if you're carrying it around with you and don't have anywhere to charge it. Plus, you can always use a rechargeable battery with it - so, win win. Most of it is nicely made, and the cap is very colorful. The pieces that hold the blades in place, though, are flexible and feel flimsy. Those are the only sections that feel cheap, but because they are what hold the blades in place and are the areas that you press up against your skin, I am going to knock it for that. A solid and colorful cap is great, but the cap isn't what you hold up to your sensitive areas. So - a pretty nice trimmer, but the cheap plastic around the blades holds it back, IMO.

Pros and Cons
I do like this Remington Travel Bikini Trimmer, but it does have its issues.Pros:The dual sides work as advertised with the mini-blade side that really works well for more precise detailing. It works for hair everywhere - bikini line or even for facial hair. It is easy to use and clean and best of all, handy to put in my purse to carry all the time. Just the other day I was having a pedicure and realized I forgot to shave my legs and voilà, no problem, took care of those few spots in no time at all.Cons:The blades do have a protective cover but it does not fit into the pretty colored cover that comes with the trimmer. Personally, I just put the colorful cover on by itself to stash away but that seems like a oversight on their part.Lastly, you can use the trimmer in the shower, but to put in and access the battery compartment requires just a short twist to one side; and to turn it on a short easy twist to the other. Too easy to open up and accidentally discharge the battery.Still, it does trim hair as advertised so recommended with the reservations expresssed above.

Pluses and minuses
The bikini trimmer does work for a smooth shave, so I will keep using it. However, it does have some issues. (1) you can't store the bikini trimmer guard with the rest of the bikini trimmer. The guard fits easily over the trimmer, but the top won't fit over the quard when its on the trimmer. Why do that so that a piece can get easily lost or you want have it when you need it? (2) The bottom of the trimmer that contains the batteries came apart when I was washing it under water in the shower. I'm not sure how I twisted it so easily because I was trying to be careful as I washed it off. what worries me is the batteries could get water in there and corrode. It doesn't say at this time how cheap it will be. Amazon has it listed as "currently unavailable." The price would determine whether I would recommend this or not. Its not worth a lot of money due to its defects. I gave it a three because it does work.
