Important to know that they come in two versions, a 12 volt power supply and a stepped charger/power supply the power supply version can be modified by purchasing an IQ4 sensor. They are not weather protected, exposure to the elements will shorted the life I have a 35 amp charger that has been in continuous use for more than 15 years without problems, 55 amp that gets occasional use as a charger, and this replacement of a 15 amp charger , the old one was exposed to the elements (sheltered but outside) to power a 12volt refrigerator lasted a couple of years near the ocean in Mexico. They are often used to power display cases of 12 volt car stereo systems. They have special circuitry to keep the noise down. Ham radio operators also use them because of the noise reduction (I mean radio noise). If you need a charger power supply I recommend IOTA. Like all electrical connections be sure the leads are the right size for the amps and the connections are tight.

No IQ4
Good charger for what it is, but DOES NOT include the IQ4 module. Seller offered to make it right though.

Excellent performance
Works excellent using a Honda generator powering a 12V deep cycle system. Do your research about purchasing other manufacturers of these types of chargers. IOTA appears to be the best currently on the market.

IOTA power supplies
I liked the older products more. The older versions were 100% aluminum. Now they are using steel which, in my environment will rust. Otherwise they are excellent DC supplies

Maybe the newer models last longer.
My DLS-15 seemed great ! It had an easy life, but failed after three and a half years. In my opinion, that's pathetic. Of course IOTA says "sorry, it's past the 2 year warranty"... That's a pathetic service life for (basically) a transformer.

Top of the line charger.
Wired this charger to an emergency vehicle as a shoreline. Has been plugged in for 10 years except when the vehicle is being used. No issues. Batteries last much longer. IQ4 option is a must if battery life is the goal.
