Prismacolor Premier Magic Rub Vinyl Erasers, 3-Count

I have been using these for years. They do a complete clean job every time. I have found that newer pencils have terrible hard worthless erasers so I have been using these even more. I also use them for other little cleanup jobs like smudges on walls or countertops not just pencil on paper.

I'm stocking up a new art studio and I've used these since I was an art major in college, many years ago. They simply work better and cleaner than pink rubber erasers, but also work on some mediums that their peers can't erase very well.To me it is like the comparison between the Mr. Clean magic eraser when you've used a cheap sponge for years...one seems to magically and more easily lift away some things that the "old school" tried and true just can't.That said, the erasers I ordered did not come in a pack like this, but were just on their own, loose...the pack doesn't matter to me as they were new and I think actually larger than the usual ones that are in the pack. They work as tried and true as they always have.I use two erasers: These, and the kneaded eraser for soft pencil lines that are messy-- because you can knead the eraser after erasing them and the mess just goes away. The only two with which I need to stock my studio.

This gets everything. It it is very effective. I like this the best out of all the erasers I’ve tried.

So far, it takes ink out of paper fairly well. I have used it with decent success with colored pencils as well. It doesn't completely erase, but lifts off enough to take care of most problems. Doesn't mark up the paper either. It stinks! As in, the smell is something else. After a while it isn't as strong, but it can be quite startling first out of the package. And probably don't let it sit on plastic. I had an eraser sitting on the black plastic tray to some colored pencils, and it started changing the color of the plastic orange. A paper barrier solved that problem. As I said, it does a fairly good job getting ink out of the paper, which is why I got it, and doesn't destroy the paper.

The product was good - exactly what I expected - for a good price. Since I couldn't find it in one of my local stores, I was thankful that Amazon had it. However, when it arrived the erasers had the imprints of words all over a few sides. It seems during shipping the erasers had picked up the ink from the print on the receipt and I couldn't really get it off completely. A simple fix if the shipper would either turn the receipt so that the print was facing in or put the erasers in a small baggie. Everything considered it was a good purchase overall.

Expecting these erasers to be like my old Sanford one that works perfectly on art pencils. Unfortunately these aren’t what I was expecting. They will erase a regular plain pencil mark if it’s light, but useless with Prismacolor pencils or any of my other art pencils such as Royal &Langnickel, Artskills, Eberhard Faber or Prang. Does nothing but smear. Positive note is it’s easy on the paper.

I use these to erase lines on wood that I use as guidelines for painting. This esaser gets the lines cleanly without smudging any of the paint! So nice, where other erasers have made my art dingey and dirty looking from smudging the paint even after hours of being dry! Highly recommend for artists.

I was kinda disappointed with using this eraser on colored pencils! It faded the mistake, but didn’t remove it. It works great one lead pencils! I raised the stars because it was not the vendor’s fault. My order was on time, and in perfect condition.
