Won't work and can't exchange
Opened it up, put in batteries, and it won't turn on. I wanted to exchange it, but I ordered it through Amazon llc which no longer carries this product... One week after placing my order. I can return it for credit, and pay an extra $7 to order it through bargain outfitters... Not cool Amazon...

works great
I make homemade beef jerky and sell it and my marinator quit on me. I looked everywhere's for another one and found this one on Amazon. When I got it home and looked it it I was not sure but to my surprise it marinates great. If you purchase this product you will not be diappointed.

It's OK, but has some issues
Marinating cycle is too short to infuse much flavor. Vacuum holds for less than 30 min. Needs at least 3 marinating cycles to infuse the meat or fish or veg with enough flavor, so start early. Has to be reset for each subsequent 30-minute period, so you have to tend it. I think the Jim Beam marinator box works better but it's not very durable. Oh, well.

Good product
Performs as advertised and does a great job marinating food. I wish it was larger, but for everyday meals it's more than sufficient to meet your needs. The only problem that I have with the product is removing the lid can be a challenge. Otherwise, I would buy again.

2 Containers in the package!
This really works well for me. Its super fast. I'm wondering why no one has mentioned that they come 2 in a box. It's not even mentioned in the description. So the price might seem a bit high, but you get two of them. That was a great surprise.

Ziplock bags work better
I bought this for my husband's birthday thinking "what a great idea - this'll make cooking dinner so much faster and easier". We're disappointed. This marinizer does NOT work as advertised. The amazon writeup says your food is marinated in 2 minutes - but the directions that come with the product claim you should let it run it's half hour cycle three times. In two hours I can just as easily marinate my food in a ziplock bag in my fridge. We tried it on one cycle (half hour) - unimpressed. Might try a few more times, but honestly, I wish I had bought a different product.

Great Idea - Poor Performance
What a great idea. Unfortunately this unit will not hold a seal for any length of time. After numerous attempts trying different procedures the unit continues to come in far below expected. Try this thought: a marinizer is a vacuum pump that sucks the spiced liquid into the contents of the unit (plastic tray for marinating). It's the opposite of a pressure cooker. I can get a great seal with my P. Cooker by applying veg oil to the seal. However, neither oil nor butter will improve the seal on the Deni. While I still use it for marinating and actually push the start (vacuum) button the seal won't hold for more than 60 seconds. So all in the house who look forward to the meal walk by every few minutes and again press the vacuum button for hours - AND it starts up every .time as if there is no vacuum at all probably because the seal does not exist. AKA there is no vacuum. But pressing the vacuum button 20 - 30 times probably does something. Not sure if it's worth the 4 AA batteries it requires. Happy cooking to all ....
