Maple Cutting Board by Mevell - Premium Large Cutting Board for Kitchen - Reversible 17x11 with Juice Groove, Made in Canada

I did a lot of research to find a cutting board made of a sold hardwood--avoid bamboo at all costs! I also wanted one with grooves for juice overflow when carving meat. This Bolton maple board was the right size and appeared in the photo to be of high quality. Before I even received the board, I got an email from the small (three-member) group that makes the product, telling me to get in touch if anything is wrong with it. When it arrived, it was all I expected it to be. In addition, it came with very clear instructions on cleaning and caring for it. I sent an email with a few questions that were answered immediately. Past cutting boards I purchased cracked along a seam after a few years of use--I believe they were handmade, too. Only time will tell if this cutting board holds up, but I'm optimistic and glad I made this choice.

Great product, good size. I’ve had it for almost 2 months and use it daily, so far it looks like new and it’s sturdy enough for daily use. If you are on the fence buy it! Great product

I can't leave my cutting board out on the counter all the time in our small kitchen. When I switched from plastic to wood boards, I discovered that most wood boards of my preferred width and length were very heavy and annoying to bring out and put away. This board is perfect. I can move it around my kitchen easily and stand it on end against the wall without losing much space on the counter. I've been using it for a few weeks with lots of wet vegetables and it cleans up beautifully. I do oil it regularly.

I have had this board for 1 month and it has already developed cracks in three places, it has not been dropped or otherwise abused. It is also fairly difficult to clean. The size, weight, and appearance are generally good, but it gets one star because of the poor durability.

This board warped after each hand washing and drying. It cracked after less than a year of light usage, despite the fact that I followed the care instructions.

This is the biggest cutting board we have. It's perfect for a lot of prepping, usually of many vegetables. I like how clean it gets after each use. Perhaps we need another, somewhat shorter but wider.

Update: added a star due to hassle free interaction with the seller. Hoping the next one they send me is defect proof. Will add stars if so I was so sad that I had to give a negative review for this product because up until now I’ve really enjoyed it. However after 6 months of owning this board it is staring to split. I’ve been diligent to using the food grade mineral oil on it and everything. Unfortunately it just wasn’t made to last. Hopefully this is just a problem on mine and isn’t the norm

The pride of craftsmanship is obvious. Very solid, nice grain, no warping and very nice loooking as a cutting board sitting on my butcher block counter. At the price, it was a very good value. Delivered two days ahead of the promised time with detailed instructions on care and maintenance.
