FlexiKold Neck Gel Cold Pack with Straps

I'm so glad I purchased these ice packs for after my hip surgery! I had hip labrum repair/FAI surgery and these were the absolute perfect ice packs for afterwards. I got a large, half size, and the neck wrap- all with straps. Straps are key!! I got the neck wrap one bc it was the perfect design to be able to go around the entire hip and groin area! It was absolute perfection and worked just the way I hoped it would!!! I also had a lot of pain on the top and side of my hip and thigh so I was able to place the large and half size packs exactly where I needed them as well! I posted pics so you can see how having the straps allowed me to place the packs all around my hip and leg so well! Bc they are lined it was great to be able to do my first 20 mins lined side down, take off for 20 mins (placed on a towel on the bed next to me- did not have to be placed back in the freezer), and then I turned them around and placed the non-lined side down on me for the next 20 mins and they were still very cold!!! They are super easy to use once you have them near you and they are definitely heavy duty and seem like they will last a long time. Cons: You WILL need to lay a towel down under any part that will be on your bed/couch etc, bc they do get frosty and eventually wet/sweaty on the outside during the first icing. And place a towel over the top of them if you put a blanket over you. They are heavy! I've been non weight bearing on crutches for the past few weeks so it makes it difficult for me to take them in/out of the freezer to the room myself, however, I did put them in a grocery bag to make it easier to get them in and out and to carry them with crutches. BUT it is not easy to carry the 3 packs with crutches, you have to be coordinated to do it, but it can be done. So there is that. I added pics so you can see how awesome they are to mold to you exactly how you need them. I would absolutely buy these again every time. I wish I had these before my surgery! I play hockey and these will for sure be used a lot in the future! The pros outweigh the cons and I highly recommend these!

This wraps around the neck fairly easily. Out of the freezer it is hard enough to keep cold but still malleable enough to conform to the shape of the neck. I wrap a towel around it so that it isn't too cold on my skin and risk damaging the skin. I use it to reduce any swelling that may be occurring with the pain. And it does seem to help and increase flexibility. I can get at least a half hour use from it which you don't want too long anyway to avoid damaging skin. But it refreezes quickly in the freezer if you want to reuse within an hour. Quite satisfied. Not sure why the category "warmth" is listed for a rating as this is NOT to be used heated. Appears very well constructed for lasting use. A bit more expensive but I expect to get long term use thus making it a good value for the cost.

I love this brand of ice packs but this one does not stay as cold as the other ones I have purchased from them. The Velcro option is nice but I wish it fit better around my neck and shoulders.

Perfect size, quick delivery

I use this product to treat pain and inflamation in my neck due to rather severe stenosis. I first heat my neck, then do stretching exercises followed 15-20 min of icing w/thus product. The ice pack is very well made and seems as though will last for s long time. One side of the ice pack is covered in very strong vinyl and gets super cold. The reverse side is covered with a soft fabric which doesn’t feel quite so cold on your skin. It comes with 2 different Velcro straps, depending on whether you have the vinyl side of the pack against your neck or the fabric. Both straps are easy to use, form a very tight bond with the ice pack and allow you to apply a strong pressure to the neck whil not making it difficult to breathe.

Got this for when I have a long day at work and my neck and trapezius muscles are sore

Very stiff/Rigid. Stabs your face when you try to use it around your neck. I think the concept is good but it's just too bulky and the material is too stiff for using in this area. It would be better suited for a knee or low back.

Loved this product until 8 months in, it started to leak gel in several seams. I took care of it the way that they recommended and I was the only one to use it. Very disappointed. Useless now. UPDATE: Yes, the product did start leaking gel, but a couple of days ago I sent in an email to the company, and they are honoring their product and sending a replacement. I am very impressed by the company and how they handled this situation. I left the bad review up because I wanted everyone to see that this company goes above and beyond to honor its product.

Fits well and stays flexible, video shows straight from the freezer after a 12 hour freezing over night but it does need to defrost a little to contour properly and be comfortable.

bought for a friend.who is very satisfied has been suffering with trapped nerve in neck and has found it very helpful.

With the cloth like backing the neck ice pack is not very flexible, so I find it difficult to mould it around my neck
