Revell 07344 1:25 Volkswagen T3 Camper

I bought this because I just purchased a VW camper van and it looks the same. I bought it for a display case.

Great Covid project!

I'm now working on the model, and it's a lot of fun. I've been a big fan of Volkswagen vans and campers . I owned a 74 camper, and I wish I still had it. My dad owned the original style 61 split windshield camper. The model is very well detailed, from the engine and suspension all the way up to the cabinets and pop top. My only complaint is the tail light license plate panel was a bit too wide, so I had to file it a bit to fit.

Shipped well, intact, nice model if i get the right paint colors. It's on my back burner. Cover picture looks like a midget handing over an ice cream cone

I love the model of this vanagon - we have one! But the plastic is very thin. I don't remember older revel models having this thin of plastic. I assume that this is just the way of the world now.

This Christmas present model was unique in that it was a fully decked out camper. It is a good model that could have been a five star one. Problems started with the thickest sprues I have ever seen used on a Revell model. As a result, most of the parts had flash that required removal. The interior camper parts looked pretty good. The sliding side door and back door, I found , had to be fixed in shut positions. There were decals for a number of European countries . This was a popular camper in Germany that came in a number of configurations and colors.
