The sound quality is great, although I noticed some differences between them and Beats, but of course they are two different brands of headphones that sound different. When I was learning in a larger area, I would put them in and turn on white noise (it does help) to the low volume and I couldn't hear anything. As for wiretapping, some people complain that it is really not that bad. The headset does include a clip that helps keep the cable more secure.
