Happy buyer
Got this for my elderly father bc my toliet sits low enough that dad was having issues. This works great for my needs. I'm using it over the toliet with the splash guard. It came with everything listed, easy to put together. Would recommend for anyone who needs more height to their potty & sturdy enough to use bedside . Handles lower for easy transfer from bed to pot & back.

Good quality
I read many reviews on other commodes and most of them said the seat cracked. I found this one to be sturdy enough to hold my weight. I had a knee replacement and needed a taller commode with handles to lift myself off of it. This worked out very well. The construction was good. The directions were easy and I felt confident it would support me.

Very Sturdy
My mother was already wobbly, so she needed a sturdy commode in case she sat down hard. This commode is like a rock. Easily assembled. I do wish the cutout was larger, since the product seems marketed toward larger people. Very satisfied.

Very sturdy
I brought it for my 80+ father who has use of two of my 3 bathrooms. The first bathroom, I brought a set of arms that mounted to the toilet seat base and had two legs that went to the floor. The arms on these were very shaky and almost scary to use, so I decided to try another style. This one can be used as a stand alone or over the toilet. It does have drop down arm supports (so when you have to use your great product of shortage, circa:2020)After assembly, which was almost nothing, I sat on it to see how it felt (while it was in the living room, not actual use). I was a little concerned about the rear support bar brace being uncomfortable, but he doesn't seem to have any issue with it at all. The seats (upper and lower) are made of thin plastic, but the lower is supported by the main frame, so I don't see any problems that would happen from that. There is a front support bar/beam across the front in a straight line from leg to leg in front of the bowl causing a male to bang his shins while upright, this is the biggest downside I see to the unit, The easiest remedy I have found is to remove the unit for male in number1 stage and leave in during all others, if able.

Great product. Used after hip surgery
Worked great for me. Used it after a hip surgery and had to move it back and forth after using, easy to use. Never had trouble getting in place over existing toilet. Sides of the bottomless bucket do get wet, but sink i had near was perfect size for a quick rinse. I’m heavy and wide and ability to lower a side rail worked great. Easy to assemble.

Wouldn't Purchase Again.
I'm somewhat disappointed in this pooper chair. Firstly while the drop down arms suggest easy lateral transfers there is a very hard tip of steel protruding up from each corner at the front of the unit. Just hard, round, edgy steel posts poking up. If you're sliding across the front of the chair onto the potty in a state of undress or thinly clothed it hurts, scrapes, digs into 'ya. My caretaker wrapped a thick soft cloth around the corner I transfer over and while its still hard underneath its no longer abusive. I'll be getting a transfer board soon and that should take care of it. However if you transfer without one be aware. "Sliding" laterally onto the potty seat bare skinned is not optimal if you can't lift or swing your leg over this metal tip.The chair is somewhat wobbly, no doubt. And not just at its highest setting. I have it at mid height and it wobbles. It doesn't feel unsteady sitting on it but I wouldn't want to bear weight unevenly on it to go from sitting to standing as I could with my previous commode. I would be concerned it might surprise me with a nice tip over. Me and poop all over the floor? No thank you. Yuck. The ad mentions this is a "folding" chair and "bariatric." Well at 6'3 and 260lbs I'm a big guy. But this isn't a big chair. And it does not fold up. In fact its smaller than my previous, standard chair. I don't need a bariatric commode but like "room" when I go. This hasn't room. Maybe for smaller people. Its rated for 300lbs but unless you're a 300lb person with uniquely small dimensions, stay away. The item's stated dimensions are also misleading. I don't know from what point to what point the dimensions were measured all around, but the actual usable space of the chair is small. For instance seat depth is said to be nearly 16 inches. Nope. I measured from the inside of the front lateral post to the inside of the rear lateral post and its approximately 13in or so. Not good for tall folks as we need to sit forward to make sure our butts are positioned correctly over the potty. When I sit forward to center my butt over the potty I feel like I'm going to slide off the front of the chair. The seat is quite uncomfortable to sit on, too. The actual opening to do your business is around 8x8 inches, if a tad more. Fairly small. If you're a tall person, big person, or big and tall person you will barely find this adequate. Or even an average sized man. If you need to lateral transfer onto it with a bit of a "slide" you may find it rough as I mentioned before. If you're 5'5 and 130lbs you may like this chair if you are able bodied enough to walk up and sit on it. But if a disabled person like myself or a morbidly obese person don't let the 300lb weight limit fool 'ya. I mean it might be able to support 300lbs but so can a foot stool. Doesn't mean you'd want to sit on it.Oh well. $118 so I'm going to get used to the wobbly thing. It does work as a commode and using a transfer board will improve....transfers. But as said, 'Wouldn't Purchase Again.' Or even recommend but for the somewhat petite to average sized person. And even then.Three stars because I can poop in it. Which is what it was made for and deserves.Oh, and the arms do in fact drop down and raise up effortlessly. You'll have no problem there if that matters to you. Meh....

Exactly what we needed.
We needed this item in a hurry so Amazon was the "go to" place for fast shipping. It was delivered the day before I was released from the hospital. It appears like a sturdy product and hopefully I won't need it long enough to have to judge it's durability over time. I was hit by a car crossing the street and my foot was hurt very badly. It is exactly what we need now and seems to be a high quality product.

Post Surgery Must
Works great and we like the option to have it over the toilet as well. Good for someone recovering from hip surgery!
