Fits external condensate pipe and insulates it, strong sticky seal, cannot fault it, takes mins to install

I needed to cover the condensate pipe running outside my home from my boiler because it froze during recent sub-zero temperatures, making the boiler gurgle and then cut out. These tubes fit over 35 mm pipes and can be cut to line up with the wall brackets that hold the pipe in place. The tubes have a partial cut along their full length that you can open up by running your thumb along the inside of the tube. A diagonal cut for the corner was made by measuring the foam’s diameter at 6 mm and then the same distance back from the end and then drawing a line with a pen and ruler from corner to corner for a 45 degree chop using a hacksaw blade. The material cuts easily and accurately, and has kept the boiler working in the latest sub-zero spell. The advantage with a collar is that no glue is needed, as the building's wall holds the foam tight together, so if the pipe should manage to freeze again, I can always take the foam off again while I pour warm water on the pipe, as I did to thaw it before, and replace the foam when that’s done. But so far, so good.

Said it was going to be 6x 1metre lengths instead it was 3 x 2metre lengths which was bent in half in package.

I cut this insulation into 50mm wide pieces to use as curtain spacers. Easy to cut, I used a bread knife. The result is just what I wanted, evenly spaced curtains. Great

I wanted to insulate the external section of the condensate drain of our boiler but was concerned about the waterproofness of the insulation. It has proved very satisfactory even without any special covering. However we have had no freezing weather since I installed the insulation so I cannot comment on how effectively it does its primary job. Very easy to cut and fit.

Item was not as described as tubes were glued along one edge. Also delivered folded so seam split in the middle.
