Everything you need, plus some gadgets
What I was really after here was the crimping tool and the cable tester. The crimping tools is the type that lets you pull the wires all the way through the end and then shears them off simultaneously while crimping the cable. You can also crimp traditional ends with the tool. The first kit I received had, unfortunately, a bad cable tester. It failed after I put a new 9v battery in it and tested a cable by giving off a whiff of burnt smell and the lights danced around a bit, then stopped working completely. I notified Amazon and the seller through the return/replace this order tool and had a replacement kit in my hands the next day. I sent back the complete first kit, including failed tester a few days later and was not charged for the shipping. The other accessories in the kit are a bit of a bonus, I like the gray cable sheath cutter, after I figured out how it works, it does a really nice job of just cutting the sheath and missing the wires. The other cutter tool must be for coax, as it cuts to deep for CAT 6 wire. The screwdrivers were better quality than expected as well, with hardened tips and grippy handles. Haven't had a use for the punch down tool yet, but it looks to be pretty standard and of decent quality.

It’s a great quality and works well at work for me.

Decent kit, missing a few things
It works fine. I spliced an RJ-45 on a Cat6 and the crimper did it's thing. I think the cable stripper is a bit too sharp, because I had to start over three times, as the interior wires had been nicked, and broke before I could seat them properly. Why four stars? The product picture clearly shows a mix of RJ-11 and RJ-45 tips. I only got RJ-11. I suspect that someone may have purchased this particular kit, did their wiring, and returned it, sans the RJ-45 tips.In any event, I got my cables run...

Excellent for testing and fixing cabling issues
This package is great and not too bulky to test and repair cables. They provided everything you need, so you won't be making multiple trips back and forth to your garage or trying to use the little pocket knife in your pocket. I had pulled an old mini patch panel out of our security system/AV distribution panel and put new RJ-45 ends on so now we fit our Ting fiber Internet modem in there, and it's super neat and tucked away.

The Tester failed after just a few uses. Only the first light comes on when testing Cat 6 cable
The main tool is perfect, but the other plastic tool is not all that great. You are better off cutting the jacket of the CAT 6 cable with a small knife or scissors or you run the risk of cutting the actual wires. Also the tester failed after only a few uses and a new cable was tested to verify this.

Awesome Tool, High Quality
Bought this to hardwire some ethernet cables in my house that had been run when it was build but never terminated with ends. When this showed up I was surprised by the size and weight of this tool. Can definitely tell it's well built.Comes with lots of smaller tools but the main attraction is the crimper which worked really well. I especially like how it lets you push the wires all the way through the tool to make sure you get a good connection. When you crimp the connector it cleanly cuts all the extra wire off. Also comes with 10 connectors which was plenty for what I needed. The tester tool worked great even though my wire was running between two different rooms you were able to disconnect the two pieces.Highly recommend for anyone looking to do some home networking.

Cheap and plenty good enough for occasional use
I'm not certain when or even if I will ever use these tools again, I bought them just to run a single cat6 cable from my house, 500' to my shop for a remote wireless access point.I'm sure this isn't the preferred kit for a professional installer, but for a small fee it will allow me to diy & save $$I ordered this kit yesterday afternoon and it is out for delivery this morning. Can't beat that with a stick.

Good value with flaws
If you just need a crimper you might be better off just buying a crimper and even paying a little more for it if you need it for professional use. For me, it cut well enough that I don't have a lot of negatives for the crimper. I know that seems contradictory that I'm suggesting you buy another product just for the crimper and yet I'm writing that the crimper is fine.I just needed this for a home project and didn't want to build a full kit just for one crimp so a cheap kit was good for me. If you are starting out, this might be a good kit for you also.If you already have a crimper and you are looking to upgrade, this might not be it unless you need a passthrough crimper. I myself already have a couple of crimpers but neither are passthrough and I don't have ends for my crimpers so this was a fast way to get everything. The tester didn't work for me and lights 2 and 6 just remain lit. I tested it with many different cables and two fresh batteries so it just seems like a dud. I'd get a better cable tester for a serious project since I'd be worried that these will die on me halfway through a project, or not at all. It would have been nice to test my cables but if you can run data at full speeds without weird disconnections issues, the cable is likely fine.I will say, the cable stripper worked great to take off the jacket from cables. I did about 10 ends and I never cut through any of the wires. I usually have to be more careful with other strippers.I didn't try the punch down tool yet but I've had to make do with the cheap smalls ones for emergencies and this can't be worse than that. I hope.I don't want to deter anyone from this kit. I would just say to set your expectations and if you're using this for a serious project, test everything to make sure it'll work for you.
