Does this model require wifi for the wireless accessories or is it rf or bluetooth, magic perhaps?

This particular model does not require wifi and does not have wifi. The remotes and keypad work through 315/390 MHz which is similar to that of a television remote. No Wifi or bluetooth, or internet for that matter is required.

Is the steel rail included?

Yes all you need is included...motor, rail, and two nice remotes and remote for outside too! We have bought two of these and they are soooo quiet!

Does installation of the Gene 550 chaindrive garge door opener include installing the keypad and control?

Yes. I left my old wires in place and used them. I did not use the new wires in the box. The keypad was easier to set than most I have set in the past. I love this garage door opener it is very smooth and quiet.

I have one sensor green one sensor red. I swapped them to see if that would work but still the same thing Any other reason why this would be happening

You should have one sensor with solid red and other with solid Green light. If the red one blinks, please check if something is blocking your doorway and also check the wiring. If there is no lights on both sensors, please contact customer service at 1.800-354-3643.
