Good certified organic, but very expensive.
I really like this product and it is VERY good. This is incredibly expensive for a very small amount and I simply cannot give it a good review because the price is just unnecessarily high and a packet of this that is non-organic cause 50 cents and this packet cause and that's 10 times the cost which is not really fair in my opinion. However apparently it is certified organic so I'm sure it is good in quality. I am giving it 5 starts because it is Certified Organic and IMHO that is always great, but I do think they should try to bring the price down-- but other than high price-- the product is GREAT!!!

Love these yeast!
This is my third purchase of the Red Star Organic yeasts. I use it to make bread and Olad'i. I love that it is organic, and the dough rise perfectly. Will definitely be buying more in the future.

Dead yeast.
Yes it is overpriced and yes I knew that going in but I bought it as I could not find active or instant yeast anywhere else at the time. The first loaf was fairly flat and bland. The recipe did not call for proofing. The second loaf would not rise. I proofed the yeast for 10+ minutes and never a bubble. Not a single one. Dead yeast and no expiration date on the package. Do not buy this yeast. Money down the drain.

New to me, worked well
Due to the current pandemic conditions, I was unable to purchase yeast for bread-making at my local grocery store. The price was egregious ($5 for one packet versus $1.30 for a three pack), but considering I had no other choice, I purchased the packet of instant yeast. The reviews I read were very mixed, but decided to give it a try. It has worked well and and the lazy loaf I baked turned out very well.
