The item was well taken care of by the Carrollton, KY Post Office for 8 days to make sure it arrived late. They did their very best to take real good care of the items.

This 120VAC rheostat allows my fireplace blowers to operate at lower speed, lower CFM and most importantly lower noise. It's too broad to fit flush between the angled slits on my intake but adaptation is what separates the living from the extinct.

Replaced the original blower control module on my for my REGENCY F1150 wood stove blower. Had to cut the quick connects off the original module and replace the blue ones on this one. Wood stove blower is working again!

Rheostat was easy to install. The box is smaller than it looks, so far it has been working perfectly. Rheostat came with a three-way switch to replace my bad one. Switch lets you turn fan off completely, run continious, or work with the thermostat, which is how I leave mine set.I would buy this again.

I have a wood insert that has one of these switches built into the blower. However it sits inside the blower housing and there is a one inch gap between it and the stove. This means the fan takes forever to turn on and shuts off with the stove still warm. I unplugged 2 wires, plugged them into this new switch and stuck it to the front of the stove. Took less than 5 minutes and now I can pull alot more warmth from the stove. I should have done this years ago. The fan kicks in within 10 minutes of lighting the stove vs 45 minutes with the old switch

Once installed, my blower would cycle on periodically but then would quickly turn off. Upon closer inspection I realized that the design created problems with thermal conduction. The rivets create an air gap between the firebox and the metal plate that the sensor rests on. Once heat radiates across the air gap it needs to conduct through the metal plate to reach the sensor. If the sensor isn't tight against the metal plate there is another air gap. I modified the sensor mount and now the switch works well. I drilled out the rivets, drilled a hole through the plate, and mounted the sensor on the opposite side of the plate so that the surface will have direct contact with the wall of the firebox. This is a design weakness that the manufacturer could have easily overcome.
