Best remote, so far, for my Nvidia Shield
I have tried a few other remotes for my entertainment system(s), and this one is by far the best! I currently own two of these and use it on a new Smart TV set-up and well as an older TV (IR remote) with a T95Zplus hooked up. This remote is easily programmable using the older IR remotes. My Setup 1: I have a Samsung Smart TV, Nvidia Shield and a Denon Receiver. My Shield is connected to the Receiver and the 'monitor out' HDMI cable goes to the TV. Because the Shield, TV and the Receiver are all sending and receiving HDMI-CEC signals, this remote controls all my devices (the features that I want it to control). Powering on my Shield with this remote, powers on the TV and the Receiver as well. My Receiver then defaults to the Shield signal input. Volume buttons on this remote controls the Receiver volume. Mute button mutes my Receiver. I do not believe the Page +/- buttons do anything on the Shield. I never tried the number keys. Powering off with this remote turns off all my devices. Because I have the HDMI-CEC set-up, this remote effectively controls the shield, primarily. The shield tells the Receiver to power on and the then the Receiver tells the TV to power on.My Set-up 2: I have an older Panasonic Plasma TV with IR remote control. I have a T95Z Plus (android streaming box) hooked up to this TV. This remote works well with the T95z Plus. The only complaint is that the You Tube app does not scroll well, but that is the fault of the streaming box. I programmed the extra keys to power on/off the TV (uses IR), but rarely use that extra button because the streaming box powers on/off the TV via the power button. I also programmed the TV's "Input selection" and "volume up/down" to the extra keys on this remote. They use the IR function on the TV and work flawlessly. This remote: This remote works very well with my Nvidia Shield. However, I do not have 100% of the functionality that the OEM Shield remote has. There is no voice remote feature. Also, typing on the Shield's keyboard does not work. So, I flip this remote and type on that. The Gyroscopic mouse works well. The back-lit key feature also works well. The buttons have a comfortable tactile feel. The entire control wheel rocks you depress one of the arrows. Holding the an arrow allows the screen to roll, which make scrolling fast. Rechargeable battery is a nice feature. Programming the extra keys is also very useful. The Bluetooth range is great. This remote, in addition to the Bluetooth connectivity also has IR connectivity and controls older TVs with IR remotes.

work well
i had a problem with a commercial i cant stand its 5 min long with the same boreing people its the only commercial i have ever muted in my life, i have several tvs hooked to a computer an on at the same time, liveing room, front pourch ect. so if it came on an i muted the tv on the pourch i could still hear the one in the other rooms an it took to long to mute the computer, with this thing when i hear the first jingle i press mute an i never have to hear them. i got this for the mute option but now that i am getting use to it i no longer have to take a mouse an keyboard to the pourch this thing is great, i can run my computer with nothing else but it, i dont know about the battery i have not had it long, the people saying that pressing ok was a problem were correct, i solved this by glueing a little rubber foot like the ones on the bottom of a small applance or cutting board on to the ok button it now works perfectly no with no mess ups, this thing is great,

Best I've had so far, but...
This is by far one of the better remotes I've used for my media center (running Kodi). I've had it for about 5 months now and it has been great, but there are 3 major problems I'm having with it which are driving me insane. I will note that it did take some getting used too as others mentioned. The button ring and the volume/channel buttons are designed very weird and many times I would press multple at the same time. Eventually I got used to it and it hardly happens now but they could have designed it a little different to avoid this.As for the major problems, the first is not a huge problem, just annoying. The reverse side keyboard is designed to not function when you are using the remote side, and this is great and how it should be. However, the problem is that when you first wake the remote up, if you happen to press any of the keyboard buttons while trying to press the remote buttons, then they end up doing all sorts of crazy things depending on the keys pressed. My old remote 100% kept the keyboard deactivate until I flipped it over, even when waking it up, so this is a pretty annoying design flaw. The second also deals with the wake up feature and again is not huge, just annoying. Most of the time when I wake up it, it remembers that I had the mouse cursor deactivated. But at random it will activate again and since the Kodi skin I use does not work with a mouse, its a constant annoyance and I have to turn it off again.Third and most annoying is the navigation up key on the remote has been giving me problems for a month now. I will press it like 5 times and nothing happens. I know the remote is awake because I can press other buttons fine. I thought it was a dirty contact issue so pulled apart the remote but found that the button contacts are sealed, so if its a dirty contact, there is no way to clean it. It did seem to work okay for a short while after putting it back together, so I wonder if the contact plate is somehow not aligned right. There is one other minor design flaw with this remote and it makes zero sense to me. I have no idea why there is no switch to turn it off. Yes it goes to sleep when not use, but when I want to clean the buttons and everything, I have to be very careful not to press anything, either that or remove the receiver while I do it. Because you cant remove the battery, these are the only two choices. It really needs and off switch. These few annoyances are going to force me to find a new remote as I just cant take it anymore. I am not sure if I want to get this one again and take a chance hoping I just got a dud, but the cost is not bad so I may give it a try.
