Wish I could give 10 stars. I have tried so many products like this. FINALLY I found one that works- this is it.No more itchy scalp, no more flaking- AFTER ONLY ONE USE. Now I use it twice a week for maintenance.

I have 2C curls and color-treated hair.This stuff REALLY breaks down the gunk buildup on my scalp. I have eczema and seborrheic dermatitis and have awful reactions to regular hair products. It itches like crazy, and before I know it, there are scabs and dried blood built up on my scalp. Ok, enough about the nasty. That was to give you an idea of how bad it can get.In the shower, I focus mostly on lathering up the scalp. This shampoo can be quite drying, so I try to avoid running it through the ends of my hair.It slightly "conditions" which should really only be considered "detangling", because there is nothing about this product that makes your hair luscious. It's good enough to run a comb through when you're done washing your hair, and fairly soft, but you aren't going to see this product reduce frizz and breakage or add a lovely shine. Additional products for those things should be focused on the ends and stay far away from the scalp. I swear, managing scalp conditions is a torturous affair for those with dry, curly hair.There's no real scent to speak of. It truly is unscented. I keep trying other products (I'm obsessed with finding a scalp-safe product that leaves my hair with a lovely fragrance), but I just keep coming back to this unscented shampoo because it REALLY WORKS. It breaks down the buildup and zaps the itch within 2-3 uses.I hope this helps! I strongly recommend this shampoo. It has been a game-changer for my mostly black wardrobe and my bed pillows. I just wish I could find more scalp-safe products for enhancing curls.

This is easy on the hair however it did not help my psoriasis. I think not the fault of the shampoo. My case is very severe and I needed to start taking a prescription drug.

Works well after one use. I’ve had psoriasis for years and recently I’ve been having more flare ups. Even after I wash my scalp I still have flakes and build up. After I took a shower and used the shampoo and conditioner as direct, I swear it took every flake away.My scalp was becoming sensitive so it also didn’t hurt. My scalp did sting but that’s only because I has scratched it up by trying to pick the flakes off with a comb. I’ll give an update in a couple days after I used it for second time, but it worked very well. I just wish I didn’t scratch my scalp so it didn’t sting lol

It works at times, but leave dry the scalp. I used it twice or three times a week. Helps a little I guess, maybe it’s just not for me.Update: I gave this product to my mom and she is using it any other day. Works for her, so it’s not a complete waste. As I said before, it’s not for my type of scalp.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This was recommended on the scalp psoriasis page and it lives up to it's reputation, super effective. I have been struggling for a bit and finally decided to try this shampoo. I wish I would have sooner as I had a noticeable difference after only 1 wash. only negative is that the conditioner component wasn't great but I just used my own conditioner after using this as shampoo. Left my hair silky and smooth. Will continue to use! It's also not expensive which is a plus. I was definitely expecting to pay more for a medicated shampoo.
