Pretty cool if you can get creative
These are really cool lookingSheath is junk though.I recovered it with real leather, and rivets, aged it alittle. Tee rapped the handle as well. Now it's a high end costume accessory. In fact, so many people liked my mod's I started selling them for $50. And they sold fast. I've redesigned about 10 of these. And sold em all. They are very heavy. (It's solid cast iron all the way to the pommel) And dull. Can't be used for any real functional purpose.

Cast Iron "Knife"
I will be the first to admit the photo is, indeed accurate. When purchasing, I assume the "blade" was actually a design on the sheath, when in fact the photo shows the blade. While the description says "carbon steel" it appears the "blade" is actually made out of cast iron. Additionally, when they say "rustic" they mean the "blade" is made out of a LOT of cast iron. I would say the "blade" is around 1/2" thick at the thickest point. Overall the thing would work a lot better as a club than a knife. As others have noted, the sheath is made of thin plastic-leather, which further ruins the effect.

Gnarly blade
Not sharp at all but I tell you what after some polishing she was a marvel to behold. Beautiful and a little scary but for my friend the perfect gift he now wants another one. The sheath is total crap but the blade makes up for it.

broke cast iron pot handle
I enjoy turning cheap carbon steel tools into fine period pieces, I required true carbon steel. This brittle, poorly cast, pitted rust block serves a better use as a tent spike. Rebar is far more refined with half the inclusions.
