I have thin/fine, long, straight hair that gets oily in 24hrs (tried hair training, it doesn't work). I have purchased every shampoo/conditioner from cheaper drug store brands to expensive salon products, from tiktok viral products to friend recommendations. Seriously, I feel like I've tried it all. And I always come back to this product in the end.The shampoo is strong enough to completely wash away all oils with one application (super rare for me, especially if it's been 2 or 3 days since my last wash) and it doesn't leave my hair stripped of its natural oils. The scent is soooo lovely, like gingerbread. It works up a good lather and it's a great price. The conditioner is thick and leaves my hair nice and soft. I cannot recommend this product enough, and I am so bummed out that I can't find this stuff in stores anymore (thank goodness for Amazon).Hope this helps!

Oh my goodness this smells divine!! It is perfect for fall and winter. It smells, to me, close to a pumpkin spice latte and it goes well with my pumpkin cupcake fromBath and BodyWorks.Ok, down to business.Shipping was fast but the cap on the conditioner was cracked. First use, lathers nicely and rinces out easily. I always wash (lather) my hair twice, even after the 2nd lather and rinse.. my hair was not squeaky like harsher shampoos will do. My hair is definitely clean but it doesn't strip it right down, which is great for weak brittle hair.The conditioner is nice and thick, so you don't have to worry about losing any getting it from bottle to hand to hair. I was in a hurry so I only left the conditioner in for maybe 2-3 min, if even that long. It rinses out easily and leaves your hair feeling silky.Brushing my hair, I used a pea sized amount of the conditioner in my towel dried hair making brushing out tangles a breeze. My hair isn't dry yet, so I'll have to update this tomorrow.

After a long hard day working, this is a refreshing end to my shower.

This is my go-to brand for shampoo and conditioner. The products do not leave my hair feeling heavy or oily. I have thinning hair so I am always looking for great products so I would recommend this shampoo.

Because u want this to be seen I’ve given it five stars but it’s actually getting ONE star from me because this has gone from a shampoo (& conditioner) that I could buy at Winco for $4.85 that went up to $14.99. Today, 8/28/25, I see it’s gone up AGAIN, this time to $21.99. The bottle is smaller & ingredients are exactly the same. That’s a 450% mark up for a lesser amount of the same product. The conditioner is in a far smaller bottle now but has doubled in price. ZERO STARS, Garnier!

My daughter introduced me to this line. She and I both have very long hair and were looking for something that would really revive it. She used another product from this line and we saw noticeably improved hair.Mine was in worse shape than hers so I decided to try the Recovery products. After only washing and conditioning it once, there was a huge improvement. My hair has life again! The split ends magically and instantly disappeared. Our hair is so soft to the touch now and feels amazing. I would HIGHLY recommendthis line to anyone needing a hair boost!! And the Ginger scent is really nice too!

I have extremely thin, fine, fragile, dry hair and I'm always searching for a product that will strengthen, detangle, and moisturize without negative results. I was so pleased that Garnier Whole Blends Ginger Recovery Strengthening Shampoo did not strip my hair and the Conditioner hydrated without weighting it down. For added protection, I leave the conditioner in and my hair feels and looks thicker. The silicone in the conditioner is semi water soluble so no heavy buildup. Although not tangle-free, there are a lot less tangles which comb out easily plus a lot less hair down the drain. For me, it has a pleasant but strong cinnamon scent which fades in time and the price is excellent for a product that actually works wonders on my hair.
