Heavy Monster, Questionable Performance
I was really looking forward to the SunJoe SPX-3000 MAX because it's supposed to have the highest PSI of offered electric pressure washers and it got good reviews.ASSEMBLY:Assembly is straightforward enough and the user manual is clearly written, though you do have to figure some things out. There are actually only 6 screws required to put it together, with the rest of it requiring snapping in 2 pieces to the main body and then assembly of the spray wand which is just a matter of screwing the trigger piece to the actual metal wand. After that, you have to mount the two soap tanks to the main body and connect their respective tubes. Then finally you connect the pressure hose to the washer and then to the sprayer handle and of course, connect the washer to your water source. So much for assembly of the main unit. The power washer's 5 nozzles are then mounted on the upper area, under the handle. The spray wand has its own side mount that it snaps into. The pressure hose that goes between the pressure washer and the sprayer wand hangs on a provided hook. The power cord - more on that later - had no obvious place to store it, though there is a space at the bottom on the washer but it's not large enough. The unit comes with its wheels attached.INITIAL TESTI followed the instructions that recommend connecting your water source - I used a new garden hose - plugging in the washer to the AC outlet, and purging any air that might be in the system.Following the instructions I was able to purge air out of the hose.TESTING THE VARIOUS NOZZELSI proceeded to test the various nozzles from the RED (zero degrees width) to the widest at 40 degrees width except the black soap nozzle (more on that later). All 4 nozzles worked as expected. The red nozzle which is a 0 degree nozzle produced a narrow flow with the most pressure, which is to be expected. There is no way to alter or adjust the pressure the washer puts out.ISSUE #1 - PRESSURE - While the pressure from the 0 degree nozzle was good, it wasn't exceptional. I did not have a PSI meter to measure pressure, but I have a garden hose sprayer that puts out really exceptionally good pressure on it's narrowest setting and it was clear this particular SunJoe model fell short using the red (0 degree) nozzle. In fact, with my garden hose sprayer which can adjust to a zero degree stream, I can shoot the stream 15 to 20 feet easily, and into the air as well. I could not do that with this SunJoe model using the zero degree attachment.SPRAYER WAND / TRIGGER HANDLE:Overall, the sprayer wand worked exceptionally well. Though the trigger handle was made from high-impact plastic, it did not feel cheap. It worked very well and felt very good in the hand The metal wand was well made and felt equally solid. Turning on the spray immediately started the pump with no delay, releasing the handle immediately stopped the pump as well.PRESSURE HOSEThe pressure hose was a bit stiff and rather thick, but it worked quite well.PURGING SOAP FROM THE WASHER - Unfortunately, I did not test the power washer using soap and the soap nozzle. The instructions say after using the washer with soap, when ready to store it, first purge the washer by connecting the soap tube to a tank of water (1.5 gallons or more) and use it as a source of water to flush the system, as well as the soap tank(s).ISSUE #2 - There's no way that the tube from the soap tanks will reach down to the ground (or on a stand) and go sufficiently deep enough into a 1.5 or more gallons of water. Because of that I did not want to risk using soap and have it dry internally inside the machine and possibly adversely affect the machine on its next use.MOBILITYThough the washer has wheels, the unit is rather heavy and unless it is used on a single plane, i.e. there are no stairs to go up or go down, then you'll be ok.ISSUE #3 - If however you need to take the unit up or down some steps, you may have issues. For example, the power hose end that is connected to the washer is on the back of the machine and it is the side that leans backwards when you move the washer by altering its angle. When the power hose is attached if you're trying to go down or up stairs it will be in the way and you'll need to unattach it, or lift the entire machine up, and carry it down (or up) the stairs- either of which is time consuming and very inconvenient, not to mention that it's a rather heavy unit.ISSUE #4 - The electrical cord for the washer is 35 feet - that's certainly good - but, it's an enormously thick and heavy cord and worse, it's very inflexible. To add insult to injury, the ground fault protector with plug are large and also of some weight. The heavy and inflexible power cord along and the heavy ground fault protector together make for an extremely unwieldy cord that is not easy to wrap into a smaller and more convenient bundle to mount onto the washer. Whether the cord will become stiffer yet over time is also of concern.EASE OF USING THE NOZZELSISSUE #5 - The 5 spray nozzles are mounted onto the top area, just below the handle, but is a horizontal way, not a vertical one, that is rather awkward. All the nozzles have their width in degrees printed on them. But you can't read them looking down at them because of the way they get mounted. Though over time you can tell from their color what the width of their spray will be. In addition, they are not especially easy to remove or insert. However, placing or removing the spray nozzles onto the wand portion of the sprayer is easy and provides a good lock.NOISE LEVELThe noise level of the internal motor was not intrusively loud at all.LEAKSThere were absolutely no water leaks at any of the hose or joint couplings during testing.OVERALL OBSERVATIONSBased on the issues and experience I had with the washer I thought it did not perform better than using my garden hose with a good garden hose sprayer attachment. In fact I got superior results pressure-wise using just my garden hose and sprayer attachment.PROS:User manual in English is good and comes with diagramsLow noise level motorPressure hose wont kinkNo leaks at any hose or other couplingsSpray trigger/wand works quite well and turns pump on/off without delaysPower cord is long and looks durablePower cord has solid ground fault detector on itCompact unitCONS:Limited Pressure - got better results from my garden hose and adjustable sprayer attachmentHeavy and very stiff power cord with a bulky and heavy ground fault protectorNo place to store power cord and ground fault protectorCan't wheel it up or down stairs with pressure hose attached to washerNozzle mounting makes removing / restoring nozzles a bit cumbersome and not easy to readSoap tank tube can't reach a water pale on ground (or on a stand) to purge washer of soap before storingSomewhat stiff pressure hoseOverall rather heavy unitUNKNOWNSoap nozzle use could was not tried.CONCLUSIONI'm sorry to say that unless I got a lemon - and I don't think I did - and putting aside the usage issues I cited, if the pressure was really good I'd give it 4 stars and I would have kept it. But based on the usage issues, and more importantly, the less than stellar pressure as well as the relatively high cost of the unit, I don't think this is a good model to select. Perhaps a different model will produce better results, but I wasn't going to try a different model. Perhaps your mileage will be different, but I sent the washer back for a full refund. Thank you Amazon.

Nice power washer that should handle most household uses.
First of all, a disclaimer: Don't hesitate to buy a product "Used" on Amazon, especially if the condition is listed as "Very Good" or "Like New," and it is shipped directly from Amazon and not a third-party seller. I bought this pressure washer used in "Very Good" condition. Other than the main unit being taken out of its plastic wrapper (and obviously never used), the product was in pristine condition. All the accessories and instructions were still factory sealed. So I basically got a brand new pressure washer for $60 less than Amazon's normal selling price. Now the review: The pressure washer is very easy to assemble. Most everything snaps or turns into place; you only need 6 screws to attach everything - 15 minutes tops. Once you attach the washer to the garden hose and plug it in you're ready to go. The motor doesn't start until you depress the trigger on the wand and turns off as soon as you release (nice feature), and the motor itself is reasonably quiet. The pressure is pretty strong for an electric washer. Sun Joe gives you a choice of 4 seperate nozzles, each with a different spray pattern, plus another detergent nozzle. They snap in and out of the wand easily. I used the pressure washer to clean my stamped concrete patio as well as some vinyl siding. I soaped the areas down (heads up: the washer goes through detergent pretty fast at the highest setting), waited a few minutes and then used the 25 degree nozzle to wash. Everything came out great. I also used the 15 degree nozzle to clean some patio stones. When I was done I rinsed everything using the 40 degree nozzle. I'm really satisfied with the job it did. Just a small warning: if you extend the high pressure hose too far the pressure washer will tip over - it's bottom heavy. The solution is to just be careful and wheel the unit closer to where you're washing, which is easy since the power cord is extra long. Others have experienced problems with the high pressure hose breaking off, but that hasn't happened with mine yet - if it does I'll edit this review. My summer project is to power wash all the vinyl siding on my house. I'm pretty sure that the Sun Joe is more than capable in doing the job.

Works great!
This is exactly what I was hoping for from an electric power washer. The spray power was excellent (sufficient to cut my hand when I accidentally got it in the way). I was able to clean off the white limestone around my patio to look like new, and the concrete counter around my outdoor grill area has never looked better.

Broke after the first use.
I was really happy to try for the first time my new Sun Joe pressure washer and after not even 5 minutes using it whit the yellow tip the tip of metal pipe broke and shot the metal adapteur whit the yellow tip on my brand new STI ! I have lost my trust in this product for the weakness of the metal that they use or maybe i was not lucky but it cause a dent on my car.
