Catskill Craftsmen 22-Inch Perfect Pastry Cutting Board with Rounded Corners and Reverse Groove

I got this board for all of my bread and pastry making, and I am overall happy with it. The one thing I did notice is that the underside (with the drip edges) is not smooth. It's a pain in the butt to clean that side. For the price and the brand, I expected perfection. I still use it and won't return it.

I initially purchased this as a pastry board for rolling pizza dough. It is a little small for that unless you are making personal-size pies. But the other side is a cutting board with a groove to catch juices, and it is ideal for that. So you get two-in-one, but the pastry board is rather small, unless you are just making small pastries.To oil: don't waste your money on brand name oils for boards, just go to drug store and pick up a bottle of mineral oil.

This is a nice board, good quality, but suffers from being a little thin. At least 1/4" thicker, or more, would be advisable. Get it wet and it will warp. Dry out, flip over, put something heavy on it and it will flatten.

I have had one of these for years. I use it all the time for making pie. My son is getting married so this make a great shower gift as he says his wife to be has no cutting boards and he has used the reverse side for cutting jerky.

Its very nice looking but the surface is rough as if it needs to be sanded & oiled & I can't see using itfor pie crust with such a roughness & to return it would cost me more than I want to pay. my loss

I BOUGHT THIS CUTTING BOARD AS A GIFT FOR A FRIEND....SHE IS VERY HAPPY WITH THE EVERY DAY USE OF IT AS SHE IS LIMITED FOR SPACE AND PUTS IT ON TOP OF HER STOVE AND ALSO LOVES THE FACT THAT IS HAS MEASUREMENTS ON IT FOR WHEN SHE BAKES.

My daughter bakes for a living and to having this pastry board really help, perfect her pie crust and other pastries. Best Christmas gift she said.

This board makes life so much better. Plenty of room for all of my baking needs on one side, and my meat and vegetable cutting needs on the other. Solid construction at a reasonable price.
