Especially nice for exterior lights where there is no way to turn them on without being inside, like most porch lights. The fact they dimmable and color adjustable is awesome. Being programmable is an extra added bonus. The ONLY downside is if you forget and use the MANUAL light switch, unless rectified quickly, the bulb will lose the Wi-Fi connection and you will need to re-connect it, which can take a few minutes and you will have to reset any programming. Not a big issue to me considering the advantages. Looking for more places to add additional bulbs!

Not sure what the complaints from other reviewers are all about, mine work great. I have the Feit color changing bulbs in 12 different fixtures in my house. The oldest being almost two years. I have had zero failures with these bulbs. They were easy to set up with WiFi, the app and Alexa. They connect super quickly to the WiFi in the event I accidentally use the switch to turn them off or on and then want to voice control to change the brightness or color. Usually takes about 5 seconds when that happens, otherwise if it’s already connected it’s instantaneous. Another great feature is that the bulbs remember their last setting. As an example I put them on a dim red color in the bedroom overnight and if I were to hit the switch and shut off power to the bulbs, when I hit the switch back on they come back on dim and red (the last setting they had).If I had to do it all over again I would definitely buy these bulbs.

These lights are fantastic ONCE you figure out how to use them. Figuring out how to use them can be a nightmare. They require the Feit app specifically and a certain WiFi connection (2.4 GHz to be exact). My WiFi is SUPPOSED to automatically adjust for devices and their needs but for these bulbs, it wasn't working AT ALL. They required me to take out my WiFi router and setup another WiFi that the bulbs could then recognize through the app/my phone. While the app is trying to connect with the bulb, the bulbs will flash quickly (and annoyingly if you have more than 1 bulb in a lamp like me). Once connected, the bulbs stop flashing but if it takes you multiple tries to connect and figure out WiFi problems, the flashing can become a nuisance (gave me a headache actually after about 30 minutes of trial and error) while your neighbors might think you're having a rave party or something... For those individuals prone to seizures, I don't recommend setting this up yourself. Find a friend because the flashing feature varies per bulb - some flash slow-ish, others pretty quickly. The flashing just means it's ready to be connected.It also takes a little bit of extra mingling to get it setup to work through Alexa or Google Home, but it's really nice when it's all connected. There are some fun settings you can try or schedules you can make so you don't come home in the dark.The bulbs themselves seem like they'll last a REALLY long time. They're actually not made of glass, but a durable plastic material that still lets PLENTY of light shine through. I recommend this product if you don't mind going through the hassle of setting it up. 4/5 stars just because of the issues I've had but 5 stars on quality.

I bought 6 of these and setting them up was fairly easy. However two out of the six have failed over and over and over. Those two come on and off a few times and then go offline. I have to reset them again and within a few days they are offline again. Pitiful!!!! Maybe the other four will continue for a bit but I doubt it will be too long. I will come up with another way to control my lights thru Alexa.

We absolutely LOVE these lightbulbs. My husband and I are very different when it comes to lighting. When I am home and working on things I like there to be a VERY bright light. My husband prefers "mood lighting", this is okay when you aren't trying to focus on something. With these bulbs we can change them to our preference by using the app! The app is easy to use and these bulbs have so many options! For Christmas, we set the bulbs to light up green and red, and for movie night we set them to dark blue so that we could still see our popcorn! We also have these bulbs in our bedroom lamp and in our daughters lamps. We set them to turn off after our girls have fallen asleep (or when they should be asleep at least) and to turn on in the morning when it is time to get up.My only complaint is that if the light switch gets flipped too many times the lightbulbs sometimes reset and you have to set them up all over again. It can be very frustrating.Otherwise, they are great!

I have some FEIT dimmable light switches (from Costco) so I already have the FEIT app on my phone and I have it linked to Alexa.These light bulbs work in the same app. I have them setup for the bulb to turn on at dark and off at 10pm.I have a wifi door switch (ewelink brand) on my gate that plays a doorbell sound over the Alexa echo devices. At night it will also make the lightbulbs turn on full brightness if the gate is opened. That way if I get home late, the light comes on so I can see the steps. Also would scare away burgulars or give me a better color view of them on the cameras instead of the B&W nightvision.It does different colors, depending on the color they are not that bright though. My wife likes to make them gold color. They definitely look gold/yellow but it about 25% of the brightness of white.I haven’t ever tried Philips Hue light bulbs, but I expect these are similar to those only much cheaper in price.

So far so good! Setup with the Feit app was flawless. Adding the Feit skill to Alexa Dot went smooth too. Set two bulbs up as an "Outdoor group" on a timer and it's working great. Just wish Alexa would get going on a dusk to dawn option (w the ability to add an offset) for canyons or variations in sunlight where physically located.
