Tatami Galaxy

The miniseries itself and the collectors edition box set get 5/5 stars from me. Tatami Galaxy is a beautiful and unique animation experience.However, I subtracted one star from my rating because of the encryption and region locking features of the Blu-Ray disks. When I purchase a product, it is my own property and media companies have no right to dictate where or how I may use it.

A essere sincero, avevo un dubbio su questo acquisto perché non sapevo niente di questo manga anime né del romanzo da cui è stato tratto..Le immagini non mi piacevano particolarmente e non volevo affidarmi a pochi stralci presi a caso senza andare più a fondo..L'acquisto d'impulso si è rivelato vedendo che l'opera era stata prodotta dalla squadra di MadHouse che ha creato tra gli altri Parasite e Death Note che sono degli ottimi anime manga..Inoltre, Death Note, un'opera d'arte estrema e incomparabile, essendo quella che affianca per eccellenza i miei migliori manga anime e che vi consiglio di vedere..Scommessa vinta perché sono rimasto piacevolmente soddisfatto del mio acquisto e non avrei voluto perdermi un'opera del genere..Ovviamente quello che dico implica solo me ed è del tutto possibile che questa Tatami Galaxy dispiaccia ad altri e a me va bene perché questa divergenza di opinioni modella la ricchezza del pensiero di una società libera..Dopotutto, 1984 di George Orwell era solo un'opera di finzione…O no?Rimanendo sul nostro manga anime, questo parla, parla molto e costantemente ed è molto interessante perché a volte non capisco se dovrei concentrarmi sui dialoghi che sono accattivanti o sulle immagini che sono molto espressive…Senza rivelare nulla d'importante, la storia è centrata su un personaggio che vive in una modesta residenza, vicino a una linea ferroviaria, in una grande città..Il tutto rappresenta allo stesso tempo la parte romanzata di uno specchio fedele della vita dell'autore di questo lavoro Tomihiko Morimi...È scontato che molti di noi si identificheranno in essa perché non siamo così lontani da quella situazione, un appartamentino, un pc, un forno a microonde, un piccolo soggiorno adibito anche a dormire e una strada piena di negozi fuori, il tutto in epoca moderna..L'allusione a un gruppo di Mochiguman (che cos'è un Mochiguman?) è divertente e arricchisce ancora maggiormente la storia..Per farti un favore, faccio una piccola digressione e ti spiego cos'è un Mochiguman, tuttavia se già lo sai basta non leggere questa digressione e riprendere il corso della mia recensione poche righe sotto..I Mochiguman sono piccoli personaggi alti pochi centimetri, fatti di stoffa e cotone, come dei micro peluche a metà tra la forma di un Tamagotchi e di un orsacchiotto, che le persone amano appendere allo zaino o usare come portachiavi..Alcuni di loro, se rappresentano un personaggio noto, possono raggiungere somme significative..Alcuni di voi probabilmente ne hanno uno appeso alle chiavi della macchina o allo zaino..Fine della digressioneD'altronde non pensate che per questo motivo questa Tatami Galaxy sia destinata solo ai più giovani perché sotto un alibi di apparente giovinezza i dialoghi sono piuttosto adulti e contemporanei e focalizzeranno in gran parte l'attenzione dei più grandi..Dopotutto, questi sono i pensieri profondi di uno studente universitario..In questo manga anime ci saranno diversi episodi ma ognuno sarà unico con un inizio, uno sviluppo, una fine...I personaggi sono interessanti e ricorrenti.In ogni puntata avrai sempre gli stessi...(Davvero..? Quindi è una serie..?...)No, non è una serie..C'è l'eroe, la bella, il rivale, la Love doll o bambola dell'amore, la ragazza eccentrica, il piccolo demone, la veggente venale, il presunto genio, disinteressato... e nonostante uno scenario ogni volta diverso, tutti i personaggi riprendono le loro rispettabili posizioni..In effetti, è un po' come se l'avventura ricominciasse ad ogni episodio, ma con piccole variazioni, sai, come nel film ' Ricomincio da capo ' con Bill Murray e Andie MacDowell, ti ricorda qualcosa...?La musica è bella, mi è piaciuta in particolare quella in giapponese dei titoli di coda che cercherò di procurarmi separatamente..I colori e i disegni esprimono perfettamente le scene, inoltre, a dire il vero, parlando dei disegni, la prima cosa che ho pensato quando li ho visti senza guardare gli episodi è stata che non sarei stato coinvolto in questa storia perché non li trovavo molto attraenti ma una volta entrato in Tatami Galaxy, i disegni passano in secondo grado ed è soprattutto l'atmosfera che prende il sopravvento..Non c'è un momento in cui ti annoi perché parla senza sosta e le scene si susseguono freneticamente..La trama è molto interessante.La storia e i disegni sono presentati in una forma d'arte bizzarra, potresti anche pensare che sia cubismo in alcuni scatti relativamente architettonici..Inoltre, alcune scene mescolano immagini reali e cartoni animati che possono non piacere, a me è gradita..Direi anche che in un'era pseudo post-pandemica in cui la tristezza invade le nostre menti, questa Tatami Galaxy piuttosto psichedelica che oscilla tra riflessioni scientifiche e stravaganti ma intelligenti di studenti svegli può solo farti cambiare idea e aiutarti ad apprezzare la tua giornata..Ci sono spesso accenni a riflessioni leggere ma concrete su l'amore, la fedeltà, la sfiducia, le bugie, la verità, la vicinanza, la socialità, l'onore, la timidezza, l'odio, la reattività, la speranza, la vanità, il riconoscimento e i sogni (uh, sono tanti ma ci sono tutti.. )..Un ricco crogiolo di valori e sensazioni che riempie facilmente tutti gli spazi di ogni episodio..Infine, visto che per una giusta e imparziale recensione, in ogni caso devi trovare un punto negativo sul prodotto, a rischio, se non lo fai, di passare per essere di parte, che non è assolutamente il mio stile perché alcune mie recensioni, pochissime fortunatamente, per avere espresso il mio sincero, trasparente e reale risentimento sul prodotto, in modo correttissimo, non sono state pubblicate, direi che in Tatami Galaxy è sempre e ancora lo stesso difetto che ritrovo nelle decine di altri manga che possiedo, ovvero un lavoro piacevole e intelligente, pieno di idee e creatività, un lavoro al quale ci leghiamo ma un lavoro fin troppo breve perché ci sono solo tre dvd e anche se il numero di episodi può sembrare sufficiente, quando si arriva all'ultimo, ti manca avere nuove avventure, ancora e ancora..Si sa oramai che le torte più buone sono sempre troppo piccole..Per le lingue presenti sui DVD bisognerà accontentarsi del giapponese e del francese sia per l'audio che per i sottotitoli..La presentazione del prodotto...Mi piace molto il cofanetto che è ben concepito e pieno di bei colori, i dvd sono puliti e senza errori e un piccolo bonus è incluso come nella maggior parte dei manga..Questo è di qualità, un piccolo libretto di 28 pagine con la descrizione dei personaggi, gli episodi, l'autore, lo staff, una presentazione generale della storia così come l'attenzione su alcuni luoghi in una città giapponese del nome di Kyoto (no non ho detto Tokyo..) in cui si svolge tutta la storia.. A titolo puramente informativo, l'ex capitale del Giappone fino al 1868 circa era questa città Kyoto in cui si svolge la Tatami Galaxy...Kyoto si traduce in italiano come ' città capitale'.Fu solo dopo che la sede dell'imperatore fu trasferita in un'altra città che Kyoto perse il suo status di capitale..La nuova capitale prenderà il nome di Tokyo.La consegna è avvenuta nei tempi previsti..Il parere che potrei darti su Tatami Galaxy se la mancanza della lingua italiana non ti disturba è di consigliartelo..Infine e per concludere, se dovessi dire in una frase cosa rappresenta per me questo cofanetto, direi che 'In un mondo interamente fatto di carta, Tatami Galaxy è come un origami che naviga su un mare di pergamene' ( le pergamene simboleggiando i manga anime in generale )Questa recensione ti è stata utile ? 🐱Isidoro

J'en profite pour passer un petit coup de gueule, car je commence sérieusement à en avoir marre de voir toutes ces séries manga qui prennent; un peu trop souvent, comme canevas principal les atermoiements ou désidératas de lycéens indépendamment du genre abordé. Bon, il faut dire que cette histoire se passe, elle aussi, dans ce contexte-là, mais c'est bien là le seul point de ressemblance avec l'immense majorité des mangas animés à l'heure actuelle, car c'est bien dans son style graphique unique en son genre mêlant pelle mêle: l'abstraction, la saturation de certaines couleurs, le cubisme et j'en passe, bref, ces créateurs osent tous les styles pour traduire toutes les émotions des personnages à travers une série d'épisodes se reliant les uns aux autres de manière toujours surprenante et au service d'un scénario plutôt malin.Si vous recherchez une série manga ORIGINALE et sortant clairement des sentiers battus, je ne peux que vous le conseiller chaudement.

Yuasa's 'The Tatami Galaxy' (or 4.5 Tatami Mythological Chronicles, as the Japanese name on the box suggests) is a beast I have laid off of wrestling for quite some time now. It tells the story of an unnamed protagonist, who is set up by a God to compete with a young man named 'Ozu' to win over a young woman named Akashi at the college they will all be attending.Though this is the first thing you are introduced to, it is only a sub-plot in the grand scheme of things. You see, in the protagonist's desire for a 'perfect' college life, he joins a club to get the ball rolling. The catch? At the end of each episode, something goes wrong; from death to being caught with someone else's decorated sex doll, the protagonist realises he has ultimately wasted his time - and in that moment does time reset back to the first day of college, where he joins a different club each time, and you get to watch the same story unfold through the eyes of our protagonist, and his mischievous best friend, Ozu from the perspective of different clubs, doing different things, and having their own crazy, self-contained stories.Though the morals of this tale are best left to you when you watch it (a character named Higuchi comes out with some of the best, most life-changing quotes I've ever heard), the true beauty of this show comes with its presentation.Tatami Galaxy stands as the first (and only) anime to win a Grand Prize for Animation, and it shows. There's a clever blend of real-life backgrounds and the animation, as well as metaphorical imagery (like a cowboy riding his horse representing his libido), the unorthodox way of presenting this story is certainly a large part of the charm. The opening and ending songs are obscenely catchy (and possibly the best couplet of OP and ED I can think of), the ending is perfectly wrapped up, and it's short and sweet at just 11 episodes.Now then, some gripes. The main character, who narrates the story, speaks INCREDIBLY quickly. This is a show you will have to devote full focus to just to keep up with what's going on. Whilst I was fine with this, this might be an issue for some who struggle with reading subtitles quickly. There's no English language option, as there wasn't one for the BEEZ Entertainment release, either, so you're pretty much stuck with what you have.The packaging is beautiful, and one of my favourite pieces in the entire collection, but for £55 it's a difficult dive to make for a show you haven't watched before. Though I'd say you'll be more than happy with the purchase in the long run, it's such an unorthodox anime in every aspect, that it's a struggle even for me who has this show in my Top 10 to recommend it at this price.All in all, I'd say that this show is close to perfection if you can really put some time aside to watch it for what it is. But, as this is the only way to purchase the show in the U.K. at such a high price for just 11 episodes, I'd perhaps suggest waiting for standard sets to come around in the new year!

けっこう辛辣なネタを軽く見せている傑作。なんでフランスでは、こんなに安く買えるんだー

Ich bin eigentlich kein guter Schreiber, aber "The Tatami Galaxy" hat mir überraschenderweise so sehr gefallen, dass ich nicht anders kann als hier eine kurze Rezension zu dieser kleinen Anime-Perle zu schreiben.Die Geschichte handelt von einem Studenten aus Kyoto, der sich im dritten Uni-Jahr befindet. Zurückblickend auf seine ersten zwei Jahre, muss der Student leider feststellen, durchgehend die falschen Entscheidungen getroffen zu haben, wie z.B. dem falschen Club beigetreten zu sein. Oder dass er sich dummerweise mit dem fragwürdig aussehenden Kommilitonen namens Ozu angefreundet hat, der die Eigenschaft besitzt, ihn ständig in Situationen zu verwickeln, die nichts als Ärger mit sich bringen. Dazu glaubt er, wohl auch die Liebe seines Lebens verpasst zu haben. Die einzelnen Episoden zeigen, wie es für den Studenten auch hätte anders verlaufen können. Mehr will ich an dieser Stelle erstmal nicht verraten, nur dass alles aus der Sicht des Protagonisten erzählt wird, weshalb der Zuschauer auch witzigerweise seinen Namen nie erfährt.Der Zeichenstil dieser Serie ist (wie man dem Cover bereits entnehmen kann) ziemlich eigen und wahrscheinlich auch nicht jedermanns Sache. Alles ist sehr reduziert gezeichnet und auch mit Farben ist man, was den Detailbereich angeht, sehr sparsam umgegangen. Hin und wieder werden auch 3D-Elemente, sowie bearbeitete Real-Bilder für Hintergründe und Strukturen verwendet. Aber gerade all das verleiht "The Tatami Galaxy" meiner Meinung nach einen ganz außergewöhnlichen Charm. Es ist vor allem mal etwas ganz anderes als der sonstige Kram, den der Anime-Markt in den letzten Jahren so hergegeben hat. Mir hat der Stil jedenfalls recht gut gefallen. Auch animationstechnisch ist alles so, wie man es vom Studio MADHOUSE nur erwarten kann - nämlich allererste Sahne. Es macht einfach Spaß sich die Geschichte in dieser visuellen Präsentation anzuschauen.Zum Produkt selber kann ich sagen, dass ich absolut zufrieden bin, wie Beez Entertainment die DVDs herausgebracht hat. Der Preis (40,99,- EUR) ist bei einer Anime-Serie mit 3 DVDs mehr als fair, und auch die von Beez typische Aufmachung eines Hardcover-Digipacks finde ich recht schön. Als Extras gibt das textlose Opening, sowie das textlose Ending und ein paar Trailer, was bei Anime-DVDs Standard ist. Zusätzlich befindet sich auf der letzten DVD noch ein knapp 19-minütiges Interview mit dem Drehbuchautor Makoto Ueda, der uns u.a. die originalen Orte zeigt, die auch in der Serie vorkommen.Die Untertitel sind aufgrund des etwas dünnen Fonts zwar an wenigen Stellen (je nach Bild) nicht ganz so optimal lesbar, aber zumindest habe ich hier nicht so viele Schnitzer à la Rechtschreib- und Grammatikfehler entdecken können, wie es z.B. bei "Durarara!!" der Fall gewesen ist. Sie sind mir auf jeden Fall nicht in solch einer Häufigkeit aufgefallen, aber einige gibt es auch hier.Da ich selbst ein leidenschaftlicher O-Ton-Gucker bin was Animes und japanische Filme betrifft, hat mich auch die Tatsache des nicht vorhandenen deutschen Dubs überhaupt nicht gestört. Im Gegenteil - nach dieser brillianten Vorstellung der Original-Sprecher kann ich mir wirklich nicht im Geringsten vorstellen, was wohl aus der Serie mit einer anderen Synchronisation geworden wäre. Allerdings sollte ich an dieser Stelle auch erwähnen, dass der Protagonist hier teilweise Geschwindigkeiten runterbabbelt, die es dem gewohnten Deutsch-Dub-Gucker beim Lesen in diesem Fall nicht immer ganz leicht machen dürften. Aber auch das ist, wie ich finde, reine Gewohnheitssache.Der Ton liegt wie so oft in Dolby Digital 2.0 vor, und auch das Bild ist meines Erachtens sehr zufriedenstellend. Das Menü ist ganz nett gemacht, aber wie es bei Beez leider gang und gäbe ist - viel zu laut. Das kann schon ein bisschen nerven, wenn der Ton nach der letzten Folge einer Disk plötzlich richtig laut wird wenn wieder zum Menü gesprungen wird. Aber das ist eher Meckern auf etwas höherem Niveau meinerseits.Insgesamt bin ich echt zufrieden mit den DVDs und bedaure sehr, dass Beez Entertainment seine Pforten nun schließt. Nicht nur weil wir jetzt schon wieder um einen weiteren Anime-Verleger ärmer geworden sind, sondern auch weil Beez immerhin Animes herausgebracht hat, die teilweise eben nicht unbedingt dem Mainstream-Geschmack entsprechen, was mir sehr zugesagt hat, aber wohl leider nicht der Mehrheit. Auf jeden Fall bin ich dankbar, dass Beez vor seinem Ableben mit "The Tatami Galaxy" noch eine herausragende Anime-Serie nach Deutschland gebracht hat, die es wahrhaft versteht eine Geschichte mit Witz und viel Charm zu erzählen und den Zuschauer auch ein wenig zum Nachdenken anregt. Ich habe mich auf jeden Fall köstlich amüsiert und vergebe daher überzeugende 5 Sterne mit dicken Pluspunkten, denn nichts anderes hat diese Serie in meinen Augen verdient.
