I so love these shorts. For reference I am 5’7, 145lbs, with measurements 34, 29, 39. I placed my order for a large because I hate, hate, hate when shorts cut into the extra love for cookies I hold on my thighs and waist. I got worried though that I might should have ordered an xl and went to the manufacturer website to read up on their fit. They had a thing called “true fit” where you put in what size you wear in a specific brand blah blah blah long story short it told me my true fit was a SMALL... Needless to say I’m glad I trusted my gut and kept the large, it fits great and I would definitely order more in the future.

I wanted to love these. They seemed great when I tried them on, so I wore them to the pool today. Oh my gosh. After just a few minutes of wearing, the legs rolled up -- rolled 6 or 7 times, so I just had a weird, bunched-up edge on both legs. Basically turned them into bikini bottoms, with a really thick band around the leg. Total failure. I am 5'10" and have big, muscular runner's thighs. I guess these are made for slimmer legs/thighs. Disappointed that I didn't discover this until I wore them -- it wasn't apparent trying them on, but now I can't return, and they were pretty pricey. Oh well.

Super cute. I am 5'5", 115 lbs, 34.5 hips, 29 waist. I ordered XS, which is my typical size in Prana bottoms. I got the fuchsia. It is beautiful! The shorts are a nice dense stretchy fabric, I feel like they will stay up in the waves! The pattern trim at the top is super cute. They do not have tight elastic in the bottom of the legs so no panty line on your behind....

I'm 5'3, 105lbs and bought a size small. (I'm a size 4 American Eagle jeans / size 0 BKE for reference) The Pros: I carry any body fat I have in my thighs/rear and this provided ample coverage. Its hard to find that in a swim bottom these days. They felt secure, were made well, and the fabric was good. The Cons: I have a super flat stomach and felt like the band wasn't very flattering. I felt a bit like a squished sausage casing. If I'd had the opportunity to try on in a store I might have bought a medium instead, but I didn't love them enough to try to order another pair.

Bought these bottoms for a beach reunion/vacation. Wore them 5 times to the beach and one time at the pool. The bottom is already fraying and looks shabby. Am SUPER disappointed in the product, especially because I spent so much on them. Really expected more ftom Prana.

Bought this as a swimsuit bottom and it is just what I wanted. Fit is subjective. The largest part of my hips/bottom measures 36". I order a medium. I personally I don't like this type of item to fit skin tight and it doesn't. It is just a tad bit loose which is exactly what I wanted. So if you are looking for bottoms that fit like a second skin, you might want to order a size smaller.

I ordered a M and should have sized up to L. I'm 5'4 and 140....oopsy.

I would say these run small. According to the size chart I should have ordered a small but based on reviews I chose the medium and that was a good decision. They seem shorter on me than they do on the model and are kind of low in the back. I'm also disappointed that there is a seam down the front which is not shown in the picture. They're nicely lined and well made but not the best.

I purchased this in medium. Im 5'4 and 120lbs just to give an idea of sizing. It fit exactly as expected. Its really comfy and cute. Im very happy with the purchase. Price is a little high for bottom only but if the product and quality is nice then its worth it. My last one was Nike and it was only lined in the front. This is fully lined. I like that. I hope it will also wear well. Reason for 4 stars is cause its pricey.Update....went on 7 day vacation. Took it with me. Had another bottom with me too so I did not use it every day. After 3rd use I noticed the material looks really worn out. Almost like fuzzy. Kinda disappointed. Will not purchase again.

The fit was good, I ordered a Medium, I'm 5' 3" and 130 lbs, athletic build. However, I wasn't impressed with the fabric, it is very thick and shiny.
