Yes, it is all metal; it has a rock solid, silky smooth screw adjustment with solid - not hollow - guides. Most importantly to me, there are no springs. Which why do you need springs on a properly functioning screw adjustment anyway? Also, it came with a nice little felt carrying case. Consider my mind blown at how they kept it at this price.

it was hard to find a good metal build for mounting on camera rig. i use it for my SSD and it work really well.

I wanted to find a phone holder that was metal, had a locking knob AND had two 1/4"-20 locations to mount (vert/horiz). I was unable to find any other product that matched all 3 requirements. I'm pleased to be the first review for this product because it deserves a good one. Very Happy!

Love it. It's a solid product, easy to use, sturdy, holds my phone very securely, and I'll be buying a second one for another location soon. Honestly, I expected it to be a 3-4 star product for the price, but it's absolutly a 5-star product at this price.
