Songs of Innocence and Experience: Penguin Pocket Poets (Penguin Clothbound Poetry)

This is NOT an illustrated book: there is only one of Blake's images in here, and one portrait of him by someone else. Big disappointment and I'm sorry I bought this. A waste of $3-now I have to look for something else. Except I can't believe the blurbs now . . .

A very good addition to my now growing collection. I like this penguin series and despite the growing popularity of ebooks and audible versions, I still prefer to have a copy in my hands in a traditional format. Given the style and look of these books they'll be ones that I keep for a long time, maybe even pass to my kids one day. Overall good lay out, good quality paper, the spines are decent and the artwork on the covers makes them very easy to display.

Blake is my favourite artist and I bought this for my new grandaughter so she would always have a copy of the poems nanny read her.

The words contained within the beautifully designed book are probably my new favourite collection of poems. The book arrived perfectly on time and isn’t damaged. I would definitely recommend this to anybody with eyes. :D
