4GVGH 1P6KD Battery, 84WH Laptop Battery Compatible with Dell Precision 5510 XPS 15 9550

I bought it to replace my battery in Dell XPS 15inch. The mechanical alignment on this battery is really bad - some of the holes mismatch about 1/4 that I had a very hard time to screw them in... the tiny cables were also in an awkward length to connect. After I spent half hour to get everything done, I followed the instruction "for initial use, don't charge it until it drops around 4%, and then fully charge it". Not sure if it's just the one I got didn't work well. It was around 30% before and then it suddenly dropped to 7% (this drop was within about 3 secs with normal software running and room temperature). So I waited a little bit and then began charging it. At a point when the battery reached 70% and it told me "31 mins left to full charge", I was waiting with patience... But after an hour with no software running, it still told me "31 mins left to full charge" (apparently it stopped charging)... I have no idea what happened, I would just say this battery works really bad. I'm now searching for a new battery because I don't feel safe with this one!

I ordered this due to the bulging battery issue that’s common with the Dell XPS 15 9550.After installing, the computer could not identify the battery as Dell OEM and would not charge it. Returning.After this didn’t work, I did call Dell and they offered to ship a new battery for free due to the bulging battery issue though the computer was out of warranty. Should have tried that first.

Seems to work fine... time will tell. Alignment of the mounting screws was a little off, but with a little effort, got all of them in.

Works as expected so far.

Battery only lasted 9 months. Still trying to get a response from the seller for "18 month warranty."
