Great recipes & meal plan
The second vegan meal prep is an excellent resource for any vegan athlete, bodybuilder, strongman or average joe. Detailed info about nutrition basics, bulking, cutting and plant-based living. Extensive plant-based fitness info for beginners and many good recipes. Meal plan is very nifty, it offers tons of options as the 30 days can be used over and over. It’s a great combo of a vegan nutrition guide and plant-based cookbook.

Plant-based high protein deliciousness!
As a fitness enthousiast, I can vouch for this one. Most recipes are trulyhigh-protein and incorporate mainly whole ingredients such as common plant staples. This book even hasquite an extensive guide on cooking vegan staple foods, micronutrient info, storage tips and a lot more. All the info in this ‘cookbook’ is perfect for anyone wanting to fuel working out the plant-based way. Asa person who comes from an omnivore diet, I’ve learned a great deal from this book. Also my cholesterol levels and general (physical) feeling of well being has never been better.#veganfuture

Can’t wait to try all the recipes.
The recipes will make cooking a lot more fun because most of the recipes seem to be delicious and will help me to get my protein needs easily. They have nutrition info per serving and a nice 30-day meal plan which is helpful as I’m trying to cut for summer. N it’s difficult for vegetarians to get their daily protein intake. This book will be very helpful.

More or Less What It Promises to Be
ProsAs promised, all recipes have macros. This is the first collection of vegan recipes for which I've found that! Most of the recipes are surprisingly tasty. There were also lots of ideas for flavor profiles that we hadn't tried before and just general vegan recipe ideas in the lunch/dinners. This was especially helpful since most recipe mains revolve around a meat. Not having to immediately sub a soy protein for that meat main was a nice change! If you follow the meal plan, you will be very full while staying within calories and macrosThe lunches and dinners all use real, whole foodConsSome of the instructions are not logically written and the pictures don't always match the recipe - the Stuffed Indian Eggplant for instance (pictured). Some of the serving sizes are odd - sometimes it makes 3 servings, which can be interesting to plan around if two people are following the meal plan.Although lunches and dinners are whole food, the breakfasts and snacks (on the meal plan you eat 2 snacks/day) always include gobs of protein powder. For one snack/meal per day, I think protein powder is fine, but IMO the daily macros rely too much on protein powder.Instructions may need tweaking; especially on the protein powder recipes, I often found I had to add water or use a blender rather than mixing to achieve the suggested texture.

Great!
This is one of the better vegan cookbooks out there...although I’m by no means an athlete, I found lots of useful information. Many (especially ebooks) are published that are a waste of time...I often find recipes with very unhealthy, albeit “vegan”, processed ingredients, like veg bouillon cubes. This book is far superior...I screen shot many great ideas I will use. I really appreciated that section near the end with recipes for spice blends. Thanks

Ok
Pros: plant based proteins are listed in the front of the book. Recipes do include some sort of protein source.Cons: The author really likes vegan protein powder. Dessert recipes often call for 1-2 cups. Also the shopping list that goes along with the weekly menu is useless. Everything that can possibly be sold in a package is listed as one package of (insert food item). One package of salt, one package of maple syrup, one package of green onions.

Tremendous help on my fitness journey!
Started my plant-based fitness journey a month ago and this high-protein cookbook has been a tremendous help. I’ve tried about half of the 90+ recipes and I’ve enjoyed all except for maybe one.The meal plan is a god-sent gift that made my struggles as a vegan ten times easier and will do the same for any vegan athlete or sports enthusiast. Love the whole foods approach and value in this one.Great for improving my diabetic health!
