Cautiously Recommend
Tried the NavCup with a Garmin Nuvi 265. The NavCup/Garmin was placed on the dash of my wife's Gen 2 Mini Cooper. The dash is made from a harder plastic, but is heavily grained. The NavCup worked well until the car started moving. The whole thing ended up in my wife's lap the first time we pulled away from a stop sign. The first time around a corner resulted in the whole thing sliding across the dash.I am going to try this on a different car tomorrow to see if performance improves, but at this point I am planning to return for a full refund.I cannot recommend purchasing the NavCup unless the top of your dash is made from something sticky.(Edit)I need to revise this recommendation. Tried the NavCup in several different rented vehicles while on a business trip with better results. The top of the dash greatly affects how well this product works. With my wife's car (see above) the GPS stays put in the NavCup, but the NavCup slides around during acceleration or cornering. I tried the same set-up in my Gen 1 Mini Cooper S (slightly different dash design) and everything stayed put provided that I shoved the NavCup against the windshield, which wedged it in place. The NavCup stayed in place in the cars I renter because the contour of the dash prevented movement. The NavCup is easier to use when making a rest stop because all you need to do is pick up everything to hide it. I don't have to worry about the GPS dropping off of the windshield because the suction cup mount looses grip on a cold windshield. I also don't have to worry about the NavCup breaking because of rough handling. The NavCup doesn't work so well on dashes that are flat or slightly crowned. It works much better on dashes that have recesses or contours that will keep everything from sliding around.

Great Find
So happy to find a way to support/display the GPS without it being stuck on windshield. Stable yet removable if needed. Made of foam but sturdy.

CommuteMate NavCup
I just received my NavCup yesterday and I am very happy with the ease of use; the simplicity of design; and the visibility of my GPS unit while sitting in the holder. I wish I had one of these years ago instead of the suction cup method I had been using. With the suction cup I had to permanently attach a plate to the surface of my dash; not good if you ever want to switch to a different GPS unit. Also, the GPS unit always seemed crooked while being held by the suction cup holder. With the NavCup, my GPS unit sits perfectly straight. I am not familiar with the durability of the sticky pad, but if it continues to be just as sticky I just don't see any reason not to give the product a heart felt 5 star rating. I love everything about it.

Do not buy
This item does not do what it professes to do, hold your GPS unit. It's made of cheap rubber, the cavity isn't deep enough to hold GPS, it has to be glued to the dash, etc., etc. DO NOT BUY. I have an extra one. Pay shipping and i'll send it to you free.

Black NavCup
Not thrilled. The GPS did not fit well so I am not using it. the cord was in the way so it did not lay correctly.

A good idea............... could be MUCH better
The holder is secure with the sticky pad underneath. However, the GPS unit wants to fall forward, out of the holder, upon acceleration. The holder could be a bit shorter and still do the job. It's height, in a smaller vehicle, feels excessive. I will modify by putting some adhesive velcro on the back of the GPS and the inside of the holder, thus, hopefully, mitigating the falling issue. At this price point it is not a reasonable candidate for returning.

IM nuetral on this one, holds cell phones too
I am no overly impressed with this item. It did stay in place which was good, but it didnt hold my gps like I expected , I couldnt have my gps hooked up to be charged at the same time it was in this holder . But on the good side it did hold my cell phone rather nicely.
