I received the book sooner than expected BUT it has so many grammatical errors that it's almost laughable and seems thrown together. Some of the math questions have unnecessarily long drawn out solutions. I expected more.

Purchasing this book was an absolute waste of my time and money. There are so many errors throughout the entire book; many of the questions are repeated. This is not a reliable tool for studying for the Core Subjects 4-8 exam.

There were many, many errors in this book ranging from basic spelling mistakes to same questions being repeated multiple times in the SAME PAGE...I understand this is a fairly thick book, but it just makes it seem unreliable..It also didn't help that the answers in the back were NOT helpful in explaining the correct/incorrect answers. There were a lot of the explanations that were vague and useless (e.g. "Option B is incorrect because Option A is a better answer"....)Also, I'm not from Texas and am unfamiliar with the TExES exams, so I was hoping this book would have some basic information in the front about what to expect, the format of the test, and etc but it just goes straight into Practice Test 1..I stopped at the first Practice Test and looked into other study guides online and the ones my alt. certificate program provided for me. All their questions and format were much different, more concise, and more informational.I would recommend NOT to buy this book and to look elsewhere!!! I feel like I wasted 2 weeks studying with this book and then realizing there are better books out there with better questions, formatting, explanations, and just that 'authentic' feel.I'm giving it two stars because it did help me brush up on some forgotten math skills.

This book was a complete waste of money! I find it appalling that this book was written as a guide for future teachers! It is riddled with spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, and wrong information. Many test questions repeat throughout the testing section. Do yourself a favor and choose a different book to study from.

I was very disappointed that this was not a Study Guide, but a compilation of practice tests that are already free. Very misleading!

This book has three practice tests with answers. Many, many of the questions repeat, sometimes on the same page! I used this book to study but it did not prepare me well for the test.
