Pros: -All natural active ingredients, that have been shown to be effective against many viral and bacterial pathogens (a quick pub med/ncbi search can confirm this) -many of the ingredients are organic, wild crafted, etc. (read the label for more information) -very potent (you can taste/feel the ingredients when drinking or placing under the tongue) -good amount for the cost -trusted brand -seems to be effective, especially for upper respiratory infections (URIs) - shortens illness duration -also effective for other dermatological conditions (used this when fighting some warts, seemed to limit spread of virus) Cons: -stains clothing -extraction process uses alcohol (I'm fine with this, though others may not be) -St. Johns Wort (hypericum perforatum) is a potent inducer of CYP3A4 and may lower the effectiveness of certain medications (for instance birth control pills - so be cautious). It also has an SSRI activity and concomitant use with antidepressant medications can precipitate serotonin syndrome. Please tell your doctor if you are using this supplement. -lomatium dissectum in particular may cause a whole body rash/urticaria, this rash can be prevented to some degree by using an anti histamine like diphenhydramine prior to use. Once you stop using lommatiu the rash tends to disappear after a few days. Though I haven't ever had this rxn happen to me, some people are sensitive (I think 1/10 people using lomatium will get this rash) All in all, I'd much rather use natural antiviral/antibiotic for fighting illnesses. These natural products generally do not cause resistance, additionally do not seem to disrupt natural flora. Highly recommend this product, 5/5 stars. I teach kindergarten and my students are constantly sick. I’ve been take one dose a day since February and I haven’t had to take a sick day once! This stuff stops common colds in its tracks. It really strengthens the immune system.

I find this product very beneficial and try to keep it in stock. Just follow directions and the benefits are good.

Excellent for EBV

The first few days I took this, I think it made me really tired. I switched to only nighttime and that helped. I’m taking it to manage ebv antibodies, but as a side effect. I haven’t gotten sick even with a toddler and husband who’ve gotten a few colds since I’ve started this. This is TMI, but I can tell it detoxes yucky stuff in my body when I take it because of the distinct smell of my #2’s.

Well, I can’t say if this worked or not. I took it after traveling and I still got sick. But. I might have gotten more sick without taking it? who knows. What I do know is that it tastes terrible, even in juice. I’m really sensitive to anything bitter so not everyone will find it as distasteful as I did.
