It comes with the 1 LR44 battery and Foamed plastic high quality case for safe protective storage. I recommend to remove the battery if not using daily and keep it separate cover or box. The accuracy and repeatability are really good. I am very much Satisfied and Highly Recommended purchase. if you really need to get some accuracy measurement for your personal use go for it or buy the cheap ones which comes in plastic.

I had bought the cheaper black colour generic calipers before but they were wobbly and gave inconsistent reading. This one being a bit expensive is way more sturdy, heavy and overall better machined. Anyone can buy if the want a caliper that works right out of the box.
