I am one of the weirdos who loves the flavor of molasses and will happily eat it straight off of a spoon - the little boost of nutrients is just an added bonus. I purchased this to start making molasses milk this past winter. (Molasses milk = warm plant milk (oat, almond, cashew, etc.), spoon of molasses, tiny dallop of vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste. Stir and enjoy!) It's worked out great for that purpose as well as in gingerbread muffins and cookies. Love that it comes in a nice big jar too.

I search for specific things. Amazon really needs to review how they describe the products. I put it into a glass container. The molasses is really good! My Husband and I make a hot molasses’s beverage that super delish!

If you love the true flavor of black strap molasses you will Love this product. The price is amazing too.

I was excited to try this brand of molasses. Someone had commented that it had a milder flavor than other blackstrap molasses. I initially agreed, but then there was a turpentine aftertaste. I'm concerned and don't feel comfortable consuming this. I would return it if I could, but there are no returns.I am also uncomfortable with the plastic container. The molasses is hot when poured into the container making leaching of the chemicals in the plastic an issue.Nothing on the Amazon listing nutrition facts matches with what is on the label on the container I received. Not the calories, sodium, potassium, calcium, protein, sugars and most importantly IRON! There is a 32% decrease in the amount of iron listed on the Amazon listing vs on the label on the jar I received. Ridiculous! Also, the WARNING note on the label I received says " Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including lead and acrylamide, which are know to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." Of course, this warning is not part of listing on Amazon. Seems really shady! I would return this product if I could. I certainly won't be buying it in the future.The only good thing I can say about this product is that it came intact-nothing had leaked from the container.

I used this for my Christmas gingerbread cookies. The color and taste is wonderful. The cookies came out a nice dark brown. The flavor is hearty and deep with fruity notes. Like all spice and molasses cookies, the flavor deepens as they age in a tin container. I've been making the same gingerbread cookie recipe for decades, and this is the best brand of molasses I've come across.
