Not a good design for smart pets.
I over-zealously bought two of these, after reading the reviews, for my rat habitat. Most of the design is very well thought out. Here are the pros and cons.PROS:Well designed attachment feature(s) with multiple methods for different setups.Easy to refillVery durable materialsOnce removed from the cage, this bottle is one of the easiest items to clean.CONS:Not so easy to remove for cleaningThe spout is a bit large and only fit through the bars of the cage with some unnecessary force.Water flow is not idealMy rats discovered with in minutes of being introduced to this product that the amount of water attained from licking the spout was less than they cared for. So, as rats do, they decided to test ALL of the features... The ornery one quickly discovered that if you push the marble further into the spout, water freely flows in a steady stream for optimal refreshment. Sadly this meant that his brother below and the litter pan got a much needed shower. Once he figured this out it was over. He would drain any water I put in the bottle in minutes causing all manner of issues down below. That being said, with a less curious critter these are well designed over all and are ideal for quick refills.

Cute, but Didn't Work
My rabbits personally don't like these plastic water bottles and this also didn't sit right in their cage.

got it for my cats to travel with
but theres a spring behind the ball that makes it too hard for them to just lick it to get water but the spring can be removed but then it leaks

Five Stars
Vet easy to refill since you can leave it attached to the cage

Changing my review after a few weeks
so far so good! I've had to get rid of 2 other bottles because they've started leaking, so my fingers are crossed for this one. The only thing I don't like is that it's pretty small so i have to refill it every couple of days, but as long as it doesn't leak I'm happy.UPDATE:this product is not good. although it didn't leak for the first two days, the ball and spring inside the nozzle are extremely loose. everytime my rabbit drinks from it, the extra water that comes out drips all over her cage. One time she somehow managed to push the ball and spring to the side, so the whole bottle emptied in her cage. am going to try to send it back.

ugh! Not for guinea pigs.
The spout on this bottle is huge. I have a very large adult male piggie, and he couldn't even use it. It doesn't leak though, so that's nice. I just can't imagine what kind of small animal could use this, other than maybe a dog?! the spout is as fat as my thumb.

Bottle leaks, not just a little, the ball ...
Bottle leaks, not just a little, the ball that is supposed to control the flow does not work. you fill bottle and it immediately empties itself.

Not Worth The Price
Of all the water bottles I've bought for my guinea pigs this is the worst. It drips non-stop. Did anyone test these things before marketing them?
