Best pants I've ever bought
Super comfortable, very versatile. Little pricey and can be slightly warm in the summer, but an excellent product!

(Still) the best convertible trousers/shorts for outdoor activities and travel!
I loved these so much I got a second pair, and my dad liked them so much, he got a pair, too. (I've also used similar ExOfficio and Patagonia products and own the non-convertible version of these trousers.) The only difference with my latest purchase (exact same size) is that the fit seems to be slightly more snug in the rise, but perhaps my old pair has stretched out.On a round-the-world backpacking trip, I used these Prana convertible trousers / shorts almost every day for more than one year in all kinds of punishing environments and activities (rock climbing, multi-day hikes / camping, off-road cycling, rafting, etc. in hot and cold climates and everything in between). [For everyday, non-active use in tropical climates, I used a pair of convertible Ex-Officio's, which tore when subjected to too much activity but are lighter and much more comfortable in the heat.]LOVE:+ No belt! Not having to have a belt was great for daily convenience and going through a bunch of airports.+ Relatively deep pockets. Minimal risk of contents accidentally falling out.+ Multi-zip cargo pockets. I love that the cargo pockets zip on both the top and the side, so regardless of whether you're siting or standing, you can easily access the pocket without anything falling out from the side. I also like that both pockets have zippers unlike some cargo pants where there's a zipper on one leg, but not on the other.+ Great fit! I have a 30" waist and the recommended sizing fit perfectly.+ Great range of motion. I used these rock climbing, hiking, and cycling, and they're not restrictive yet durable. No uncomfortable bunching, riding up, or impinging of movement.+ Good breathability. The fabric itself is relatively breathable, and there are a small, strategically placed ventilation holes.+ Water resistant-lite. A light drizzle will be repelled, but anything heavy or prolonged will be just as wet as regular cloth. The only potential room for improvement I can think of is the addition of a small zippered pocket for coins or keys at one of the main large pockets (or just putting a zipper on one of those pockets altogether). Even that I could take or leave.

Sturdy and functional convertible pants
I tried a few different styles of convertible pants before settling on these. They seem sturdy enough to last a few seasons hiking and getting scratched on rocks and tree branches, and they also seem thick enough to wear in the colder months without being too heavy for summer. The thigh pockets have a zip closure and a decent top flap to keep whatever's in there in there (keys, phone). They ran a little small for me; usually I take a 31 but had to go up to a 32 waist. The leg is reasonably loose and the material is slightly stretchy but they don't have zips at the ankles so I'm not sure you could get the legs off while keeping your shoes on.

Comfy but the pockets are small
Prior to these I had a cheap pair of hiking pants that lasted about 20 years with moderate use, but the pockets were developing holes. The Zions are very comfortable - they feel more like wearing pajamas than pants. My only complaint is that the pockets are all very small. The cargo pockets are probably half as big as my old hiking pants and I can hardly fit my fat hands into the front pockets. Also, for nearly $100 it would have been nice if the back pockets velcro'd or snap shut like my old pants.

Best backpack/hike pants ever.
I'm on my 4th pair. They are all still fine, I just wanted these with the zip off bottoms and in green, (although the other pairs are a bit thinner feeling at this point over many years - but are totally fine). Stretch is great, durability is great, fit is great for me, buttons durable, built in belt fantastic, side pocket with 2 zippers wonderful (you will find that you actually use both). They dry well, shed rain reasonably well - just not in a downpour. Stitching is very good. I've worn my favorite charcoal pair on the JMT, probably 15 other backpack trips, countless car camp trips and hikes in all sorts of climates. They perform. And they still pretty much look brand new and don't hold stains. (Which is great for backpack trips going into town). I can't really imagine how they could be much better for hiking and backpacking. For casual maybe a more form fitting version? In that case I think they make one called the Brion pant, which I think I tried but was a bit too tight for me for my uses.

Perfect pants
I wore bluejeans. Always. Every day with rare exceptions. Then I received these pants as a gift from my girlfriend. Now I am buying another pair. These are at least as and as tough, but they are lighter, more water resistant, and more wind resistant. In short, they are everything I like about blue jeans, but better. And they have more pockets.Anything I would like to change? Sure. The back pockets could be just a bit longer, and there could be six belt loops rather than the standard five (but I can't find six loops in blue jeans any more either), but these are quibbles, not problems.

Awesome Pants!
Overall a good pant but a bit pricy,Pro:Fit is good, waist size was on the moneyPant is super comfortablePockets are nice with dual access from the side zipper or the top zipperzip-offs are great other than a few minor issues, the seam is comfortable and not too bulky.Stretches well!Con:COST lots of $$ for a pretty simple pantZip-off requires you to remove your shoes. (not a deal-breaker)Zip-off not marked (again not a deal-breaker) but left and right legs are not marked which makes it a little harder to zip back on in a tent or hammock. The length was a touch longer than expected (ordered a 30, its more like a 31.5) but not bad at all

Good quality comfortable
These pants fit very well. As someone with thicker muscular legs, the "hiking" style seems to be the only type of pant that isn't very tight and form fitting so I would definitely recommend if you want a nice comfortable relaxed fitting pants.

Super REsistente y comodo
