4-Inch and 6-Inch Asian Spider Skimmer Strainer with Bamboo Handle, Stainless Steel, Set of 2

So, it's fried green tomato season. I wanted to encourage the Spousal Unit to make the FGT he does so well, but complained about the slotted spoons available to retrieve them from the grease. This set of Asian Spiders is the cat's PJs for getting batter covered tomatoes out of the frying pan.This set of spiders is very well put together . They're much heftier than the picture would lead you to believe. They won't come apart, as long as reasonable care is taken, nor will they rust. The baskets are stainless steel, and are riveted to the handles.They will also be useful for lots of other things, like dumplings, gnocchi, and floating island, but for late summer, they're indispensable for fried green tomatoes.Oh yum!

I have been wanting this type of item for a long time. When I saw these, I couldn't resist. They are great. I just used the 6" in a project to blanch and freeze about two pounds of green beans. I can't wait for summer and the grower's markets to purchase apricots, nectarines, peaches and berries to blanch and freeze for use in the winter months. They taste so much better than canned.Next I will be using them for some stir fry. The are easy to clean and seem fairly strong.I would highly recommend there "Spiders".

These are great and worth the purchase. I use them several times a week for the last year or so and they have held up quite well. The one complaint I have is the handle is becoming discolored and is less attractive. While I know they are thoroughly cleaned, they give the appearance of being dirty. I feel like I need to explain myself more than I should to visitors to the kitchen asking about these spiders. Other than that, these are awesome kitchen tools worth having in your arsenal.

Definitely serves their purpose. Twice while washing them I cut my finger on the edge as there are some sharp pieces of mesh on the edges.

Need a replacement. Bad construction. Splinters and rough wood. Still no replacement. Looks like no one cares. I would not order from these people. They do not care about the reviews. Am surprised and disappointed.

Cheaply made

Quality is great on these compared to other spiders I've owned. Both sizes are useful. You will use these spiders in your kitchen although you may not know it now. I use them nearly every day. Great tool that beats the pants off many more expensive gadgets.

They work great. Small one is perfect for home deep fryer and regular everyday stuff. The big one is good for everything else including a large wok or large batches. Saves scooping time and less "trails" to clean up.

They work well and my spouse was very surprised and pleased to receive them.
