Stansport Aluminum Sluice Box

Just got it and I got miners moss for it to the moss seems a little thick for it but I am going to try it in it anyway it is made of a good quality aluminum it is not heavy I was hoping it folded but it doesn't no matter it does come with a carpet under the riffles so the miners moss is not needed 1 wingnut cleanup now all I need is a place to go and I am set

Good quality but wasn’t able to use do to very low water flow. I’ve had bigger sluices and know enough to know this will do the job and best part is the ability to carry this with ease since it’s nice and compact

I dont usually write reviews, but, this sluice works really well. It was delivered very fast too! I have been panning for a few years and decided to step up my game. I recieved it today and immediately took it to the creek. After a bit of setting it up (i definitely need more practice) I ran a 5 gallon bucket of gravel and found the most gold ever in a single pan, and, the largest flake to date! This will go everywhere I pan!!

I was excited when I got my sluice box, until I went to use it with my more experienced friend. First thing he said is that it’s a decent sluice box but if you don’t want to lose gold you’ll need to modify it.He also said the hole in the feed creates a vortex that will suck down tiny flakes1. Seal up every fold in the locked location ....every gap and hole. Never fold it again. Use water proof silicone.2. Plug the hole with gorilla tape backing and silicone3.Replace the carpet with a better sluice matt. The wire mesh traps a ton of rocks. If it builds up too high the gold flows right over it.I still gave this 3 stars, it worked and trapped gold, but I’ve now turned it into a box that doesn’t fold and put a few hours into replacing the mat with a one piece mat, so I’ll see how that works. I reattached the handle/strap on one side so it will still be easy to carry.I put gorilla tape on the back of the hole in the feeder and sealed it up. Sealed all the cracks as suggested by my more experienced friend.Now it’s probably a 5 star box, but I had to spend more money and time to make it so. Do yourself a favor get a one piece sluice with no holes and cracks!

Well looking at the pic I though product would be wider. Reality the sluice box is more long and skinny. Only one simple reason for 5 star..., Found out there is some gold in that there river! Not a huge amount, not even enough to cover cost of fuel to get there, where I am at. However the sluice box found some gold bearing paydirt on the river of green WA!

Good price. Very compact and folds to a very small lightweight unit. After a while the tabs on the bottom will wear out and collapses in the middle during use but easily fixed by drilling a small hole and placing a screw to lock open or put some rocks in the center.

Its not one solid piece as the image displays. Very Disappointed as its width is not exactly as advertised either. A huge hinderance on our design in progress as I went with this item to simplify my process but instead its working against us now.

Hallo! Mein Name ist Pionier Daniel. Ich nutze diese Rinne seit 2020 als Prospektions und Arbeitsrinne. Ich habe alleine im Jahr 2021 über 75 Goldwaschausflüge unternommen.Produkteigenschaften:Die Rinne ist aus 1.5 mm starkem Aluminium gebaut. Der Einlauftrichter ist abnehmbar und mit Flügelmuttern befestigt. Er kann zum Transport abgenommen und in der Rinne verstaut werden. Dadurch ist die Rinne extrem klein und handlich!Der Tragegriff an der Seite ermöglicht einen optimalen Transport im Bach während man in der anderen Hand Schaufel oder Eimer trägt.Alle Teile sind passgenau und entgratet. Ich konnte keine scharfen Kanten entdecken. Somit ist eine Beschädigung eines Rucksacks praktisch ausgeschlossen.Fangzone:Der Trichter ist ohne Vorschaugummi ausgestattet. Das habe ich bei mir ergänzt. Diese Feinriefenmatte gibt es auf Amazon für wenige Euros. Einfach ausschneiden und selbst einkleben.Den bestehenden Vorschau Bereich habe ich durch ein "Napf" System ersetzt. Also eine 3-4 mm tiefe Automatte mit rechteckigen Kästchen verwendet. Die Fangeigenschaften verbessern sich so deutlich.Der werkseitig verbaute Fangbereich bzw Vorschaubereich ist leider zu engmaschig und zu tief gebaut.Steinchen verklemmen sich dort und gehen nur sehr schwer wieder raus.Der Riffelrahmen funktioniert extrem gut. Besonders in rauem Wasser, wie es auch in Gebirgsbächen vorkommt, läuft das System extrem gut. Der grüne Teppich der beiliegen ist dient zur Reduzierung des Black Sands der gefangen wird. Ich mag das persönlich eher weniger deshalb habe ich ein "Miners Moss" eingesetzt und selbst zugeschnitten. Optional könnt ihr dafür auch eine Katzenstreumatte oder eine sogenannte Spaghetti Matte nehmen. Ein Rillen Fußabstreifen geht auch gut!Wo setzt man diese Rinne am besten ein?Überall dort, wo man starke Strömung hat! Besonders in aufgewühltem Wasser.Bei langsam und gleichmäßigem Wasserfluß kann man andere Rinnen besser einsetzen.Sie fängt solide bis 10 mm Nuggets. Auch Staubgold.
